For what it's worth, we were a blocked punt and a couple of ill-timed penalties away from 6-6 last year...  Watching the games last year and this season ... there was a heck of a lot of improvement... In 2014 I saw a really young team (2nd youngest in the FBS by the way) play really well and also make some really dumb mistakes... To me, it's hard to see how we can't win 6 wins.

 

We were also a miracle second-half and a blatant uncalled offensive pass interference (giving us a last-second TD) from being 2-10.  That type of thinking works both ways.

I'm in the Raleigh airport and so I've tried the streaming app the last bit with no luck. Some terrible national show is on instead. Wonder if the school is aware of not that they may be broadcasting to no one in particular

So we stay on 1010 it seems. Wonder if that will remain national CBS Sports stuff or not since they don't own the channel any longer. I had thought it was part of the trade and went to Beasley as well but maybe I'm wrong? At least we can find our stuff somewhere.

Shame they couldn't keep the local guys for the AM station and just transition 98.7 to something different. Wasn't a fan of all of their shows but anything is better than TKras, Ronnie, Ron, Ian and Duemig.

 

Update from Joey on twitter is that they are still contracted to run USF stuff on that station so the radio show tonight will be on if anyone listens. So we will be sandwiched in for now it seems on whatever the new channel will be broadcasting. Strange.

Not really. The buccaneers and rays have a similar setup with their radio stations.

 

True, but in the sense that those stations they are on are all owned by Clear Channel and so it is all one umbrella as far as promotions.  CBS at one time owned 98.7 but it was traded to some tiny broadcasting group recently that has no mothership sports talk channel on AM or FM in the area where they have to branch out to support all of their event broadcasting rights like WDAE.  We would be a university whose sports randomly interrupt rock music or rap or whatever the channel moves to unless they go to an all national sports talk channel or something.  That's what makes it a bit strange to me at least.

With 98.7 The Fan apparently being axed in the last hour and WDAE being the almighty Gator channel, have to wonder where we might end up?

Did Robbins play last night?  My buddy and I were pretty sure we saw him in on two plays and that was it.  Not sure how a guy like Nichols who looked lost (as did Dunkly half the time) were getting time in front of him unless he got injured?

We're still two months from the date that O'Brien mentioned anything about Bench transferring (after the spring game) and yet Taggart isn't being proactive enough in the minds of some to mention that a guy most have written off is going to look at other schools.  The thought process, I cannot comprehend it.
