  1. If we're going to do a throwback game, can we also throw-it-back to not using the corny "Horns Up" hand gesture? I've never been a fan of it because it's embarrassing to market your program with a 90% ripoff hand gesture from a P5 school.  I must not be the only one who doesn't like it because only about 20% of the people at the games do it anyway(and that 20% can't seem to agree on whether to do it in a circular or a vertical motion)  I seriously wish we could scrap it and make something to call 100% our own.(Although, admittedly, I have been known to go Horns Up from time-to-time if they don't run out of IPA before I've spent all of my money)

For the brahman logo games, we should do something that signifies that flap of skin on a bulls chest(aka a "dewlap" ) swinging back-and-forth.

Seriously though, it'd be nice to eliminate some of the stampede of cringe that encompasses the game day experience, if only for a game or two. Alright, it feels good to get that off my chest dewlap.

  2. I mirror almost everyone else's sentiments. I never expected a victory today, I just wanted to see improvement over last week, and wanted to see the team play hard no matter what the score was. I felt like the Bulls fulfilled my wishes.  It is blatantly obvious that Timmy needs to start. If CJS decides otherwise, he deserves all of the heat that comes his way.  Even though the defense looked abysmal in the first half, those guys kept playing until the very last play. The Bulls showed me enough this game to where I'm not just looking for improvement, I'm actually excited to start conference play in a few weeks. Being that we weren't totally embarrassed against UF, if we continue to develop over the next two weeks, we can actually become somewhat of a troublemaker in our conference. We're not going to be world beaters or anything, but we just might make a little bit of noise within the AAC by the end of the year. When considering our trajectory of recent years and where our program is as a whole, all of this is welcome news.  Even in defeat, it's a good day to be a Bull.

  3. Halftime sh**posting(because at this point....why not?)

I can't imagine the smell in that stadium right now because not only is our defense stinking it up, but there's probably at-least a few hundred iguana fans who just camped out in the stadium and didn't shower after cheering for the Cowboys in RayJay on Thursday

My goal today was for us to do better against the Iguanas than FAU did.(It was 35-14)  It looks like I'm going to have to give that lofty dream up.

I guess the theme of the season is "there's levels to this isht." We get slaughtered by P5 teams the first two weeks. The Iguanas feast on cupcakes the first two weeks then get slaughtered by Alabama the following week, and hopefully, we slaughter FAMU next week.

My highlight of the first half was I got sick of seeing shots of Fortin staring toward the sidelines with his mouth open. Then, they flashed to the sidelines and CJS had the same look on his face.

It's weird to say that we're getting housed 35-3, but still somehow look kind-of sort-of better from the offensive side of the ball.

Oh, well...at-least the Florida fans had to sit through our cringe-inducing pregame show.

I think the biggest block to progress is that they say it all needs to be fully and privately funded before beginning development. I don’t see how we can overcome that without some form of revolutionary plan which I imagine would have been utilized to build the IPF as originally designed. At the very least if this was an actual plan that had been discussed in any capacity there would have been renderings of the new project, announcements of contributions that were already secured and the fund where people could donate but nothing that resembles anything tangible or even a sliver was discussed. If at 5 years old my son announced he is going to be an astronaut and play in the NHL but he doesn’t do anything to start acting on those things I’m not really sure that the announcement brought much value or should have been taken seriously.

You're kind of brushing on what I'm worried about. Making bold statements without any substance at this time makes this OCS announcement look like a damage control statement.  I'm happy to at-least hear that there is potential dialogue in that area, but I can't help but wonder if this will just be a carrot they dangle in-front of our noses to string us along for an indefinite amount of time. Yes, I'm kind of jaded by how the Rays issue has dragged-on, but experience is the best teacher and I'm going to need to hear some concrete details before I get too emotionally invested in OCS dialogue, especially considering that a politician got the ball rolling.

I guess you have no points to back up why you are in your feelings today. Im going to let you get whatever final word or words you want to get off your chest and keep it moving. If you feel the need to "claim a victory" in this debate 2 make yourself feel better than go ahead my friend. This thread was all about making you guys "feel better"so my job is done 😎

Sure, I'll take a victory lap around your corpse.  Here are the facts

You got so worked-up over big meanies on this board that you started an over-emotional thread to air your grievances.

When dissenting viewpoints were given, you got more offended and claimed authority based-on being a self-appointed guru of New Age Philosophy.

You strained your back by moving the goal posts repeatedly(and you didn't even use proper form by lifting with your legs)

You argued passionately against everyone who offered dissent, and then, made a fool of yourself by hypocritically accusing people of being "butthurt" and "in their feelings." This was obviously projection on your part, which is even obvious to your spiritual adviser....Drake. You felt it was perfectly fine for you to be so triggered by the Big Meanies here, but everyone else is the issue when they disagree. Textbook hypocrisy

If I were you(And thank His Holiness, Eckhart Tolle that I'm not) I wouldn't take debate tactics you learn from Twitter to heart. Just saying "butthurt" and "you're in your feelings" every time you start losing an argument doesn't really accomplish anything. Thanks for providing everyone with unintentional comedy though. In that way, you're a genius in providing happiness by unintentionally making yourself the object of ridicule.

Nobody is offended by positivity.  It's your hypocrisy you are being called out on.   Confused,

That's exactly the issue! He's relying on straw man arguments, while his narrative is circling the drain. Better be careful, he brought out the big guns and tried to defeat me with Drake lyrics. If you're not careful, he may get gangsta and destroy you with some Carly Rae Jepsen heat.

Once again, please provide what statement or statements i made that put anybody down besides the "jealousy" part. I mean do you think jealousy is a positive trait? Ill wait for you to provide examples of when i put anybody down in what i said. Sorry if my words got you "in your feelings" like a Drake song. It wasnt my intention. I do want to know how you reacted when that guy posted about no longer supporting USF football, did you go as hard agaisnt him in his post as you are doing here?

Now you're acting like you don't even know what's being discussed. More misdirection. All that really needs to be said about you is you're acting like you're the modern Socrates, but now, you're quoting Drake lyrics as though they're The Gospel. Keep-up the positivity. You've definitely represented yourself well here.

I get it that the truth hurts, but please go back and tell me where i put anybody down in my post? I can tell you didnt read it at all. I even ended my post with the statement below. I even recommend a book that I feel changed my way of thinking for the better. But if you got offended by my thread, you might need to evaluate your personal level of "sensitivity" my friend.

"I can’t tell anybody how to feel, nor am I putting anybody down. I am just trying to plant a seed in your head about a better way of navigating through life altogether. I recommend you get the audiobook (I have both) from a guy name Eckhart Tolle called “ A New Earth.” This book has opened my mind."

You're not very good at this. Your argument tactic is "redirection." Every time your arguments get destroyed(which is both times you've replied to me) you move the goal posts. You shy away from addressing the point(which is calling people names while classifying yourself as the king of all positivity) because if you stayed on the actual point, you'd have to admit defeat. I've read both Power of Now and New Earth, so you should already know that your ego is what is causing you to redirect the argument away from the points you keep losing on.  You can recommend the entire Oprah book list, but that's not going to change anything concerning this conversation or the fact that competitive-based endeavors such as sports are going to illicit negative reactions from teams that lose. There's one of your kind on every sports forum. You disguise your superiority complex as "positivity." You're not special.

I think you misunderstood me. If you see in the P.S part of what i typed, I said "Jealously is for pooh-seas".  Not if you disagree with me you are a "poo-sea". I stand by that statement. Hell i think jealousy is even frowned upon by God in the bible.

I didn't misunderstood you, you're just not man enough to admit you're being a hypocrite, regardless of whether I characterized your statement as being based on disagreement instead of being based on your decision that people who hate being left behind my UCF are jealous genitalia words. These semantics don't offset the point that pushing positivity and calling everyone derogatory terms makes you a hypocrite. I rightfully called you out for being a hypocrite, something that The Bible also warns against. Take it or leave it. I know your ego won't allow you to "take it"(letting human ego control you is also unbiblical) but let's keep the hypocrisy train running. You sure do argue a lot for someone who claims to be a positivity pusher

There is realism, negativity, and toxic positivity.  I go with realism. We suck until we suck and there is no future until they win, build the ipf, and fund this new OCS. Lots of articles written recently about toxic positivity lately.

This is the most intelligent take. You have to boil a river of nuance out of the equation in-order to polarize the conversation into two oversimplified "negative/positive" camps. There's plenty of differing takes between calling for the team to be discontinued and wanting to give the team apple slices and juice boxes because they are good boys for trying hard. Some of the "negativity" is just people who looked forward to this season and are disappointed that we got completely obliterated, and looked even worse than the 45-0 score. To paint these people as perpetual losers for caring about the team is not engaging in productive dialogue.
