    Maybe this has been discussed, but reading a part of the ITN cover document...

    USF is seeking to Contract with a experienced Design/Build entity for the construction of an approximate 35,000 person On campus Stadium on the Tampa campus for the USF Football program and the Women's Lacrosse program.

    Seems odd to single out Lacrosse as the only other sport for the OCS.  I thought it was announced they would be playing in Corbett or was that just for starting and then they move to the OCS?  I really don't understand if that's the case,  500 to 1000 fans would look ridiculous in a college football stadium.  UNC the best team in the country only draws over 2,000 fans a couple games per year.

    GO BULLS!

    I was thinking this could be a funding move for some state $$$.

    This is quite likely... although we know the Pac 12 exclusive window for Fox & ESPN to bid for TV rights expires in early August... and the last Big 12 expansion happened in the month of August... and the Big Ten has not finalized their new contract that expires after the 22-23 academic year.

    So there remains some possibility that we could see things happening in August.

    I’m betting on PAC12 taking 2-4 teams from The MWC relatively soon.

    The price point and the size seem really similar to San Diego State's stadium thats opening this year. Seeing pictures of that now that its almost completed has me completely okay with our stadium being a USF version of theirs. Lots of luxury seating and a lot of different seating levels like mentioned in the ITN. Nobody would mistake it for a high school stadium either like certain school's rust buckets

    Also built so its expanded to up to 55k (now 35k with a lot of standing room)

    Wow, that looks way bigger than a 35k stadium. Love the design and it will look amazing on TV.

    @Steve,

    I wasn't implying he was great, btw.  Whether he was great or not is a debatable point.  There are hundreds of threads on that.  Divided opinion.  He was clearly the most successful, but the "great" tag is an individual opinion.

    As for Willie, I should have given him some credit too, he related well to players.  He did some "great" recruiting.  Again, had a number of issues with coaching as people have brought up.  There is no doubt he was in the top two of our four previous coaches.

    With Leavitt I knew we were going to win around 8 games every year. Which looking back at now I really miss. Just looked up his head coaching record and he was 95–57. That’s pretty impressive.

    Yes... the IPF was designed by HOK -- the pre-eminent stadium architect.  I would love it if they are the successful bid for the OCS... but I don't know if HOK does the build process.

    HOK’s Sports + Recreation + Entertainment specialists design gathering spaces that build excitement, facilitate connections and leave fans wanting more.

    I was thinking if that’s the case some “unofficial” conversation has been had to be had lol. Maybe a quicker process that way.
