Because you can just watch the teams and see the difference in play.
USFs current defense is an example, despite 10 wins you can see there are teams that would roll right over us.
That is is why we would need to win by 3 scores every game to pass the eye test.
I think we maybe thinking the same way. I just don't feel like with our SOS it would be enough. If we dominate every AAC game, including our championship possible I just don't see it.

I thought you meant 7 tickets. I was a little nervous on that. I don't mind helping a bit. But was going to have to think about that donation

I'm pretty pumped about the comments discussing him wanting the athletes to not only be great athletes but also great citizens. And actually living by that goal.
Maybe no more driving with suspended license cases.

Our schedule is so weak next year, unless we beat every opponent by 20 and are undefeated, it will still take some 2 loss teams for us to get in the playoff.
I know now we have a potential for being undefeated, as we have the best offense in the conference, but with the staff changes and our bad defense I think undefeated is an overly high expectation. Talk abut USF with lower expectations than Texas, is undefeated really a low expectation?
I think a reasonable expectation is another 10 wins, then maybe a drop off after Flowers leaves, having a year with a rookie QB, then we should have a solid defense by Strong's 3rd year and a 2nd year QB, so that is when I would expect USF to peak is Strong's 3rd year.
Honestly undefeated and two loss teams I still think CFP is a pipe dream. Look at WMU this year. They were no where near a chance.

Cliff notes on the recruiting calendar between now and national signing day? Dead period includes what? When are the coaches able to begin again?

That program is going to be a problem!!!! I love it

I honestly think it is a honorable thing. He obviously feels the kids is a great athlete, so much so he wants to take him into a higher conference level. Many times coaches recruit athletes to the school they are currently at, knowing that is the top level they are at. When they transfer schools they no longer pursue the athlete because of the belief they are not on that level.
It shows that Taggart was trying to bring us top tier athletes and was successful at building the relationships necessary for it to happen.

I think one of his large goals should be focusing on keeping Mack from declaring. Grab some JUCO boys and focus on filling the spots the current graduating class left void.

AJUSF..you are making way too much sense lately! Also great job w the inside info the last few days even though you were doubted by some. This is what makes the Bullspen such a great place to hang out. Thank you.
The issue is I have cut out my bourbon lately, trying to shed a few pounds before our twins arrive.

Do you think that would be the case if we were in the SEC or Big12?
I would speculate that we would not be able to out talent as many teams as we did this year if you substitute us in either of those conferences. FSU was not that great of a D, but talent was on par with the many Big12/SEC teams, and we struggled on O. We had a hard time with a not as talented but well coach Temple D as well. Same was true in 2015.
The play calling was not the X factor in 2016. It was FL talent with a spread offense. Moreover, I foresee our O improving under CCS bc the I believe we will get a better OC. Keep the spread and the talent and we will be successful a la CJL and CWT last 2 years. Force a pro style/power set on USF and down we go. I would be willing to take a bet that CCS will stick to the spread because he is a smart coach. Moreover, you better believe Harlan will tell him to keep the spread.
The issue with this thought process is, if we were in the SEC or BIG12 our recruiting success would have likely been different. With a larger conference would come exposure and likely leading to us securing athletes that are rated a little higher.

So no Strong at the Bowl game

Is that a Texas license plate J?
No it's the Florida plate with a surfer and sun shining. On the left side there's a Longhorn emblem.
Signifies someone must have left UT for Tampa, similar to what Strong is close to doing.
Within minutes a car with a Texas plate did pass me though. That sealed it for me, we got him.
