This is a great idea.  I know Judy kept USF stuff in her car when I was a student and would give kids USF stuff if she saw them wearing other teams stuff around campus.

I remember her literally chasing someone down out of the MSC across the MLK plaza and marched him over to the bookstore over a UF shirt. My second favorite Genshaft moment.

  2. IMO there was nothing wrong with the old logo, it was a very professional look. This looks like something SG would make up for a WOW sign or something, but not as the look of the university itself. Even if this is the new logo moving forward, are we changing our entire visual guideline policies? and school colors? going from a USF green and gold to 50 shades of green and yellow?

At a WBB game a week or two ago, true story, somebody fouled out and the HOT started the "left - right - left - right" chant.

    :lmao:

A lady standing behind us said that was the most rude thing she had ever heard.

Then I take it she has not had the pleasure of a football match when the Goalmouths get riled up? We have gotten flat out demoralizing at times and I have personally seen some keepers leave the pitch in tears

Usf has the worst College fans I have ever experienced as far as lack of enthusiasm. Stadium experience was better at the citadel games and the mercer game that I went to this year...That was d2 football.

Are you a fellow Maconite? Been up here 3 years feels like 30 yet never watched a bears game but I do admire what the city and University is doing together Making Macon black and orange. Shoot even GC&SU in Milly is making a presence known there too

But back on topic yes what was said before I feel attendance is just a cultural shift across the board and not just USF. It's just exaggerated here for reasons stated before ( fair weather...conf... Legacy..etc) yes money is one of the largest factors as economy nor consumer mindset has never truly been same since the 2008 crisis. And the largest factor I feel is the exponential developmemt in digital technology. I still recall the total amazement of my first ever HD Football game was the Tx TTech game where raiders won and stormed field. It was freshman year at USF I just moved to the city and was really first time having HDTV (it wasn't even 1080p infact they was just having those commercials)  I mean I felt like I had better view than front row seats  I was on the field I felt and less than 10 years later I get even better quality on my phone plus my living room looks like Mission Control with multiple TV's broadcasting different games multiple laptop/tablets streaming goaline (a must especially if limited on additional screens and this is a minimum beyond bulls game) live stats, bullspen/redditCFB/Twitter etc.

Long story short this is hardest competition for live events. A better "experience" is in thier own living room

Digital age is even affecting my career too. I work in the mining industry and our products are additives in 85-90% of every thing manufactured. But we are affected by digital age as one of our larger consumers is the paper industry which PDFs and ebooks and electronic signatures are slowly killing it like greening to citrus. So I'll leave you with my shameless PSA ;P ... Kids textbooks are superior to ebooks (personally better for book notes not just trying to sell paper) adults hard archives can't be hacked like servers & clouds can and corporate folks....wet signatures are irrefutable.

Above is my 10 team CFP of Conference champions, just like HS football win your conference to get in. Win out to earn the title. This will place an emphasis on all conference play throughout the year and furthermore it would allow for larger marquee OOC games without fear of SOS implications but as with else its too logical as it negates all the SEC/B10 gerrymandering that goes on in the AP/NCAA/ESPiN

Edit: Please note that seeding was done by 2016 Week 15 AP (final regular season)

  6. I know it's end of the bye week but weather is nasty out and I'm bored. Little thought experiment I had with some co-miners out at the mill this week: Recruit your perfect team using your favorite football generalities/profiles/stereotypical players.

    My "Bulls" recruited as follows:

OL:      Some Big ol boys out of the midwest
QB:     1st string Dual threat out of FL 2nd string West coast pocket passer - rotate throughout play
    WR:   So Flo Speed
RB:    1st string Power back out of rural GA/AL 2nd string slippery speed back from FL
TE:       I'm at a loss of regional but needs to be someone big as an OL but with speed/power

DL:     Anywhere in SE the meaner the better
LB:   Texas boys crazy enough to blitz and stuff holes with reckless abandon
DB/CB:  Caribbean Islanders, I still love the fact that USF at one time  had 12 Haitian players and their "code" they communicated with was just speaking french-creole
    S:       So Flo Speed

P/K:   A European rugby player, can kick as good or better than a soccer kid but also has build and power if needed to scramble or a fake... could be useful in regularly going for 2 why settle for only 7 pts

How would you fill a team?
