  1. I may be missing the point here, but why does USF plant those wimpy, scrawny looking trees when they plant new ones?

Uh, it also happens to be winter.

Uh, they also look the same in the summer....

I disagree. Winter is Florida's dry season. Oak trees lose leaves, Crepe myrtles are bare, some grass turns brown. That's why they "paint" the brown grass green around LR Selmon blvd. and the Admin building in the winter. They have no need to do it in the summer.

Also with the recent hard freeze everything that is not a landscaped desert tree or plant is brown in Florida now... USF still has about 2,000 gallons of that green paint they bought to paint the grass green during the winter months... wonder why they have not used it.

  2. Zero,

You boys coming down to BrightHouse this fall to see your new rival, Miami play us?  It will be Miami fan fail all over the place.  You all can see what a great job your AD did by inking a series with their fan fail crew.

    :KoolAid

Our series with Miami will draw more Canes and regular fans over all because unlike UCiF we can actually beat them.

  3. They are on our level when it comes to fan support for our basketball team.

You would never know we had a game tonight against a team our fans hate so much and no one is talking about it.

I know were playing WVA in a bragging rights match tonight, but nothing about bball?  I'll be watching catch 47 and flipping to espn2 to check the score a few times.

If not for WV this game would had been a hotter ticket... I wanted to drive out to mouse town for this match up until I realized that I could stay home and watch USF play WV.

  4. vandalism - willful or malicious destruction or defacement of public or private property

I don't mind the shovel, just like an ax or a hammer or something

Don't care for the destruction of property.  Sounds like something the thugs at Miami would do, ya know?

Yeah I agree and they did do it in the past, so did Florida State, Florida, Notre Dame, etc. back in the 1980's / 1990's it was a big thing to do as the ultimate f-you to a big opponent.

I even think that Florida State still has their turf grave yard on campus... http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/112199/col_1308775.html

  5. According to the Orlando Sentinel they were digging.  >:D

After the game, USF players took a golden shovel and started scooping up pieces of the field. UCF officials quickly got the Bulls to stop. Several players also appeared to stomp on UCF logos in various spots, although it didn't appear that they did significant damage when I surveyed the field from the press box after the game.

Well if the Orlando Sentinel is telling the truth, and not making it out to be something bigger then it is then that is awesome IF we did dig up some of their turf and brought it home... nice big F-you to UCF.  ;)

  6. Yeah I heard about that but isn't now being used to dig up opponents turf following a victory so that we can add the sod to a "Grave Yard" at the athletics center?

FSU, Miami, Florida, Notre Dame, Ohio State, etc. do this for their rivalry games and I heard last year that we were going to start doing it this year.

    Is this true?
