I feel like we can finish middle of the road in our conference this season
We suck until we don't. If we finish middle pack in this awesome conference Golesh should be proud......smh.

The AAC is a lot weaker now and if we can't win in here I don't have any faith this ship is getting off the bottom of the ocean. I am going to wait until halfway through the season to evaluate AG. If we resemble anything like the team we have seen the last three years then AD MK has to go because he has no idea how to hire and evaluate football coaches. ALL we can do is hope Golesh can turn this program around from rock bottom and climb up the ranking with some wins.
Conference is weak. A turn around in the new AAC isn't anything to boast about. If we win this year it really doesn't mean we have that much better of a staff unless he strings together some unexpected wins against the better competition. Time will tell.

@olafberserker Although many of the younger Pitchers (i.e. - Dietz, both Minks, Grause, etc.) came from great local programs and had great records in high school, their results were extremely poor. These young pitchers have had 2 years at USF and are not going to all of a sudden turn it around. Mohl's biggest issue was solely relying on the younger pitchers to develop and they each failed.
Based on this unsuccessful relying on failed pitchers, I have no confidence in Mohl and he should be fired!

College football's transfer portal is working ... just look at TCU
Sonny Dykes was able to turn a 5-7 TCU team into a national championship contender on the fly thanks to the transfer portal. It will always work for the larger programs. We get good talent and it will be bought on the free agent market.

Next year's schedule would be really kind to whoever was coaching.

The more I read about his reasoning for leaving his current role the happier I am CO has him.

I'm not disappointed in drawing the short straw on Sanders. Too much BS involved and I feel like he would have been working on his way out as soon as he got here.

He lost his starting job. We had like 8000 RBs as well.
Didn't want him starting but he was a bruiser when you needed a yard or needed to punch it in from the galling. I enjoy watching battie all season. Oh well

Surprised Horn us 1st team. Battie is a beast.

No one knows but the offense instantly improved with CJS was gone.
Just stop. We get that you hated CJS. You are ready to point out all his shortcoming but never anything positive. Who brought in Chad? Who recruited BB. Scoring wasn't really a big issue. He needed to be fired for sure but you continually harping on him gets really old. Let it go.

Have to disagree. We had a horrible defense last year. Changed coordinators to become more aggressive and still had no success. Our talent level is the problem.

No

I consider myself a die hard and think of El Toro as one also. If he didn’t get fired we weren't renewing. You are thinking of something of something above hard. Impervious maybe?
What's your level of confidence in Kelly making the correct decision going forward? I'm genuinely curious.

Maybe you could have showed some class.
People either have it or they don't unfortunately

Very Classy and expected from this coach. Usually I stop "following" a football coach when he leaves USF, but Leavitt and Scott are exceptional men.
Go BULLS !!!
Agreed.

I see nothing but good here. May the best qb win the competition next year.

What's his injury?

I thought marsh looked slow and stared down his wrs. He wasn't horrible but he isn't any kind of answer either. I suspect we see the young kid once we are in the 4 game window

Thought I read something like Kelly was available but for limited reps. Hopefully this extra time gets him to 100%

American Athletic Conference Football 2023 Predictions ... - Athlon Sports

Golesh has an easier conference this year than previous years to compete in. I know current state of this program and it's not pretty but also recognize that you can't compare this year's conference foes with last year's conference foes. It's a weaker conference. Middle of the pack this year isn't really doing much better than last year except some cosmetic look on a piece of paper with our name in the middle instead of at the end. I'm not expecting much but I won't be counting it as a successful year either finishing mid conference. To each their own...
