No way Coach rebuilds 2 yrs in a row with same success. I'd like to be wrong but....

Extensions after year 1 for MBB? Isn't he under contract for multiple years still?

I feel terrible for the players & staff. They should be in the tournament.
They lost when it mattered the most.

The 2012 team won not only our first ever Tournament game but won 2.
Its not even a contest. That 2012 is the best team in USF history.
Yup

Awful L.....

If we head into next year with the same WR playing significant time I feel like we will struggle. Everyone besides Atkins is mediocre at best.

Can we find an extra year of eligibility for Tyre McCants?
One of my all time favorites.

Nah....maybe I'm wrong

Take our starting QB out and see what our offense looks like for a whole game.
What's even crazier is that a undefeated conference champion from a P5 conference doesn't get a shot over a two teams with loses. Just doesn't seem right.

USF football has spent most of its history jn non-power conferences. So I am not sure.your point.
Simple as it gets. Apples are not oranges.

It will be fine. Basically the coaching staff is the most important thing. Having a coaching staff that can plug in players each season to go with their system is what matters. USF will get to the point of reloading not rebuilding. Got to have about 3 good QBs ready to go which I believe USF does. Offense will be fine with or without BB imo. USF offensive did good this season even after D Sanders was able to lure Xavier & Horn away. USF football will be fine.
What happens when coaches and players are poached?

I don't think there's really a comparison to BB. He will destroy all the records here especially if we get some more talent.
Playing in the minor-leagues always helps. Records are great but sometimes the environments are different.

This guy has been on a college football team's roster since 2018...I think it's time he moves on in his life and not be a super-duper senior. How does he still have eligibility for a 7th season?! (rhetorical)...This isn't the NFL! Craziness.
Why not play another year, get paid while doing it, and continue to further his education? Probably make more in NIL money than a 1st yr job. Wouldn't take much.

Someone will come calling BB name if he puts up another good season. Can't blame these kids when money is being thrown at them. It's the world we live in and it sucks.

I know it isn't the same because some of them went to p5 conference, but it is still good to see the new guys step and outperform the portal traitors , I mean transfers. I wonder how OL Dustin Hall play that transferred to duke and then transferred ECU before the season started in the summer window. He was a starter when he was here.
Our offense looks crazy if we had Horn, Weaver, Atkins, and Battie but we don't. Good luck to them. Horn and Weaver did well at Colorado for stepping up in competition and sharing targets with Travis Hunter. Hunter is a crazy good athlete on both sides.
I'm glad we have Atkins on our team. He wants to be here and that's what counts the most!

And if you were homeless and worked your way out of it does not mean you sucked to begin with, which is the premise of this whole conversation. Walk on does not = bad player. USF beat Charlotte. That's all that matter to me. I don't give a crap who they were playing or their injuries.
Everyone has different expectations. What some see as average some are celebrating. With the grades flying around we should expect an extension soon for CAG.

Then they still had just under 50% of their starters in. So a little over 50% would have been 2nd stringers with some 3rd and 4th sprinkled in. Sounds like "Charlotte was playing 3rd and 4th string players against our 1s" is a bit of an exaggeration but I'm not sure for what purpose. We beat them by 34 points.
As far as a grade is concerned. Anything less than an A would indicate you were expecting more that 6 regular season wins ......... seriously?
I guess if you technically start a game you're 1st string. Does that make everyone feel better?
C is average and what I gave them. Going from an F to a C is improvement and that's exactly what we are/were in a very below average conference in my opinion.
You don't get an A when you are average. Heck B is even above average which we were not.

I'm pretty sure everybody knows that. Doesn't change the fact that he's a walk on.
As a walk on.
If you're homeless and you buy a home you're no longer homeless.

We played a walk on wr all year. Our 3rd string wr caught a TD. I’m sure there were other 3rd stringers in there, but I couldn’t see the numbers on those stupid jerseys so I really don’t know.
Sounds a lot like loser excuses to me.
Is Atkins on scholarship? Pretty sure he is.

That doesn’t equate them playing 3rd and 4th string.
if it makes you feel better about the team so be it.
They talked alot about it during the game.

Where did you hear this?
Listening to the game. QB was a walk on and they were using their 3rd and 4th rbs due to injuries. They also talked how injury depleted they were in other areas.
They were also talking about using OL on the DL because of injuries

C.
We are average in a very below average conference.
Charlotte was playing 3rd and 4th string players against our 1s. I turned it off at halftime.
We have a QB to build on which is a good thing. If all players played with the heart and determination of Atkins we would compete alot more. Guy is an inspiration.
