That would be the PAC Performing Arts Center on Nebraska near Bearss. What a blast from the past. I saw the Outlaws there in the mid-70's and a host of other bands. I don't specifically remember the Elders, but it's more than likely I saw them - apparently they played there quite a bit and I was there almost every weekend

Memory's hazy, but I think this was the same place that did boxing on Fridays and mud-wrestling on Saturday nights (think John Candy in Stripes) - and the mud was actually bettry crocker chocolate cake mix. This was my one (and only) time to put the gloves on and get in a boxing ring - got my ass kicked and never tried that again. When Urban Cowboy came out, I think they even had a mechanical bull there for a while.

Ah, the memories and mammaries of the PAC!

Same time period - anybody else remember the Sunday concerts at the Men's Garden Club on Boy Scout Road?

Yes, that was the place, the Performing Arts Center on Nebraska, all right.  Like no other!

I saw the Outlaws, Elders, and was there most weekends too, usually monopolized one of the pinball machines there in the back when it was slow.

No I don't remember the Men's Garden Club.  the other place I liked was the Whipping Post, which I think was near PAC back then.

Bellamy Brothers - Dade City, Lynyrd Skynyrd - Jacksonville. Molly Hatchet - Jacksonville, The Allman Brothers Band - Daytona/Jacksonville, Blackfoot - Jacksonville, .38 Special - Jacksonville.

Kent Lavoie, better known by his stage name, Lobo, hit Number Five on the Billboard Pop chart in 1971 with the soft rock song "Me and You and a Dog Named Boo". He was born in Tallahassee and grew up in Winter Haven. While attending the University of South Florida, Lavoie formed a band called The Rumors with Jim Stafford and Gram Parsons.

and Outlaws - Tampa, It was great seeing them play around North Tampa as a USF student.  And then seeing their success grow with time.  Funny I always thought another band I thought was better from those years that drifted off into obscurity, the Elders.  They were great but I doubt many remember them now.

And I thought UGa appropriated the Lobo song (Me and You and Dawg named Belue) back when Buck Belue was quarterbacking there.  Good song though.  I'll take it over Zombie Nation any day.

Single game tickets are available to 2016 season ticket members at this time.

Each week a new group (based on Bulls Club giving level) has the opportunity to purchase extra tickets. An e-mail was sent to all season ticket members on May 5 with the date when their extra tickets can be purchased.

    Never got the email.

Lucky I saw this post here.

    I will call you tomorrow.

I hate complaining about refs but they were awful. Lots of missed penalties and calls going against us.

As for the touchdown, we all know he fumbled it, but after seeing the angles that ESPN had, they couldn't overturn it. Really changed the momentum of the game, goal line cameras should be mandatory.

Remember it's a football game staged in a baseball only stadium.  AFAIK this was only the second such game at Marlins Ballpark. Should come as no surprise that camera angles for football aren't a priority in a ballpark.  When the Marlins moved out of the football stadium across the county, the biggest concerns were revenue share with football ownership and averting rain delays.  Football was an afterthought.  Goal line cameras, right!  At least the replays on the scoreboard were in watchable definition!  As for the game, I was pleased it came off as well as it did in the Marlins' home.  More than a few exciting moments, which is a good trend.  Unfortunate the Bulls lost however, but I think the Hilltoppers proved to be the better team yesterday.  More unfortunate is the reward for success for the team and most of its conference mates is the lowest tier bowl games, with some in baseball stadiums.
