I know it's just the opening drive, but that was a refreshing sight. New offense and more aggressive coach.

I'm gonna say AAU only because the current state of our football program is pretty bad. We're not really P5 competitive. 

Also, there is only one other public university in the state of Florida that is a member of the AAU, and we're now one of them. 

Big 12 can go pound sand. I say we shoot for the Big 10, and at worst land in the ACC.

This is the new reality of college football. It's essentially free agency every off season. I think Golesh understands this and will find innovative ways to succeed in this new environment.

I'm starting to get the impression Deion did not impress during his interview. 

You can preserve this post, but I have a feeling in a couple years we will feel like we dodged a bullet by not hiring Deion. I just get the sense he's too ego driven to be a successful D1 coach.

Don't know much about this guy, but it seems he has led nation-leading offenses wherever he has been. Let's hope he can repeat that success here. I'm going to give Golesh a chance. Because we literally cannot get any worse. 

I know a lot of fans are disappointed because they thought we were getting Prime, but this is a wise hire. Not splashy or exciting. But wise. If he can coach, the recruiting will figure itself out. 

I think we need to wait and see. Deion is going to have a hard time at Colorado. But Golesh has nowhere to go but up here. 

His first order of business is keeping Brown out the transfer pool and trying to bring some SEC transfers with him.

You're reading it backwards. But the flight also goes from Denver to West Palm Beach.

I'm with you. The mania over hiring Deion is comical and just embarrassing. 

For what it's worth, Thamel's article feels like a hedge. "Preparing to accept" is a weird way to say "has accepted." Almost like there's a possibility he backs out last minute. 

But I've believed that we should find a coach who can coach, and focus less on a name. Deion is just a really hot name right now, and we've gone that route a few times. Just get someone who can coach. 

Jim Tressel can't exactly wear his iconic sweater vest in Florida humidity. Not buying it.
