  1. Its all about the money, folks. USF doesn't have the money at this point to build an OCS. It will take some major donors and corporate sponsors to get it done the right way, maybe in 10 to 15 years.

there are a variety of examples of schools building them all around the country.

    it can be done...

    Yes it can.

Side note... It is on a different scale, but have you seen what Allen HS in Texas is building? Crazy...

  2. As glad as i was to hear him recommit to USF...I won't be sure he will play for USF until he signs that LOI....with all the hype this kid is getting, the big dawgs are going to come calling

Me too. I have a feeling the only school that may sway his decision is UF. I was on his facebook and he still has UF listed as his favorite sports team and they don't have an elite QB commit yet.

UF does not need a QB in this class. The Gators are loaded with young QBs. They have two sophomores in Driskel and Brissett, and many see incoming freshman Skyler Mornhinweg as possibly even better than those two. There new OC, Brent Pease, personally brought in Mornhinweg too. Plus, Florida has a ton of issues with the WR corps and their best TE is transferring. The place is a mess overall.

  3. As a Bull fan I don't like when he says "you don't want to limit your options." he seems so committed to USF, but then you read this quote and it makes you go hmmmmmmm.

I tell Breida the same thing constantly. I am sure Asiantii has someone telling him to say it as well.

Think about it as if it was your son.. you never know what will happen down the road. Keep the options coming until that paper is signed and faxed.

  4. Just to clear things up that seem to be coming up everywhere...

It was his brother's girlfriend.. He was only there to try and stop her from doing anything stupid.

There were several people around and when the 3 women began to go at it with knives and all, Ja'Juan intervened and broke it up and took his bro's girl away. Have you seen the kid..? If he really would have hit a female of any age I highly doubt that she would be conscious. Anyone that knows the kid knows that he is harmless and a high quality individual. Maybe that is why USF coaches were the first and only to call and check up on him..

  5. I only called him "cream of the crop" because his offer sheet is pretty much a who's-who of college football.  I've never seen him play and thought it was funny to reminisce on Bull Shark's post from months ago.

I hear ya.. well who doesn't want a 6-4 195 lb beast with sub-4.4 speed? That, plus him already being a qualifier with a good support system makes him a very intriguing prospect to all of those schools.

He will be visiting UF on Monday.. He already had them high so we will see how this plays out. With FSU, Miami, Clemson and Ohio St having some recent commitments at the WR spot USF still is in good shape in my opinion.

  6. Cream of the crop POTENTIAL I'd say.  This kid is a potential kid based on his measurables, but his PRODUCTION is borderline brutal.  His ranking as a midlevel three star likely bears that out.  Mutt, on the other hand, is a touchdown machine and is a perfect example of how a player extends himself past his very low two star status (at least at this time), and shows you how a prospect fulfills his potential.  That being said, Story is probably UNDERRATED, plays in a pathetic offense,  and should be a four star anyway.  It would be nice to land both.

Wooo take it easy on our offense killer.. ;)

We run the ball with the best of them. If you consider which recruiting services were present for the combines that Ja'Juan attended and showed out in then you will understand why he is rated like he is... Ja'Juan's coming out party was at the Bradenton UA combine which was covered for the most part by.. ESPN. They have Ja'Juan as the 41st overall prospect in the Nation and I believe the 4th rated WR (4 star).

Then at the ESS combine at Jefferson he ran a 4.37 and dominated 1on1s.. once again it was mainly ESPN but also Weisbaum from usfnation and Michael L from flavarsity. Larry loves Ja'Juan and so does Michael L as you can tell by Ja'Juan's #17 ranking in the flavarsity 100.

The day after the ESS combine was the Nike Combine in Gainesville. He took it easy out there and then you could tell by many reports from the scout/rivals evaluators that they were not as impressed.

That probably sums that up.. Plus we all know that if he commits to UF he will move up to a unanimous 4-star but if he picks..say.. USF he will drop like a rock. You can't look into the star ratings all that much.

It’s been a long ride for North Florida Christian quarterback Clint Trickett, but he’s ready to officially end the recruiting process. The talented 6-foot-2, 175 pound gunslinger informed FV that he will announce the decision tomorrow. Will he pick South Florida, Arkansas, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Stanford or will he pull a surprise? FV will be there LIVE to reveal the final choice!

Where do you guys think he will end up? And if you didn't hear about how he did last week vs. a defending state champ in Jupiter Christian.. "Trickett completed 10-of-17 passes for 331 yards, showing precision and touch on both short and deep passes." -6 of those 10 were for TDs.

  8. I don't know why it only says Pace where his name should be but I bet we can reunite the Pace QB with his 3 favorite targets from this year.. The kid is a beast by the way... big boy with speed!

Scout: Monsignor Pace in Miami produces talent every year and a 2010 player to watch is QB Stephen Morris. The rising junior threw for 19 touchdowns and over 2000 yards in 2008. At 6'2 with 4.6 speed, Morris is a tremendous athlete with a bright future.
