  1. Good hire imo. Golesh will make the offensive staff better as a whole. Also.. he has a 6’7” 230 lb 4 star QB committed to him at the moment. Iowa State already has some QB talent including Rocco Becht. Something to watch.

I was skeptical until I heard he was promoted from GA to assistant oline coach at Tennessee. Being made an on field coach in the SEC within 5 years after playing is pretty impressive

This. GAs do all the grunt work. He will know exactly the way Golesh expects things done, and he will get them done. He has been conditioned to operate that way. His work ethic is probably through the roof. The fact that he had already been promoted at UT and then Golesh brought him along to coach for him at his first HC job speaks volumes. Golesh would not take that risk unless he believed he would be an asset. Plus, the fact that the OL coach will be in lockstep with the HC/OC when it comes to verbiage, formations, alignments, and assignments is critical. This is one less coach with a learning curve. I would bet that this kid is very good at what he does, and I am excited to see what he can do. Additionally, I think the fact that he is young and relatable will be helpful for recruiting this post-covid/NIL generation of players. This new climate in college football is going to burn out veteran coaches quickly. I talk to them on a daily basis. Coaches absolutely hate this transfer portal. Recruiting was already year-round, and now they have to recruit their current players that they are developing more than the high school prospects.

  3. Kerwin Bell did a great job recruiting this area, but whoever takes over better be in Brooksville as soon as the Dead Period ends. This kid only has offers from UAB and Jacksonville State at the moment, but that will change very soon.

    2021 DE Danny Browdy Jr. 6'4" 205 lbs - (recently moved) - http://www.hudl.com/video/3/11005513/5df786ff0dca7710fc33c72b

Hernando has several big-time underclassmen, including the top 2023 DT in the state, Devin Williams. Devin is 6'2" 292 lbs and benching 315 as a freshman. He is taking to  wrestling very nicely also.

  4. Things are picking up. UCF made a trip just to see him last Thursday right before signing day. They wanted him to know he is on their board. Temple has reached out a couple times, Panagos likes him a lot. Louisville contacted him yesterday. And my dawg Phil McGeoghan up at ECU knows all about him!

  5. Film doesn't do him guy justice. He battled through a high ankle sprain from early in the season. He basically only played 5 games this year as a junior. He will hit the camp circuit hard. When coaches see how smooth and athletic he is in person, he is going to blow up! He can play multiple positions. He is strong academically and also participates in basketball and track. Great kid. His mom is the principal at Hernando, so he better be.

    (Name is pronounced like Geno)

  6. Tough loss. And that was quick... Lake City Columbia WR Latrell Williams just decommitted. Miami fans are pretty upset about not retaining Kevin Beard, and he is a good recruiter also. Willie should check into him. Big Miami guy with lots of connections.
