Imagine if Georgetown misses the 3 at the buzzer in Jamaica?

Just pisses me off every time I see a Georgetown game or score. In fact watching them battle a strong St John's team in OT right now. USF missing FTs in the only reason they lost to the Hoyas on Pat Ewing home turf. USF just making a good amount of FTs they beat the Hoyas by double digits.

Going to be s very tough game today as this is a must win for Tulsa. Also Tulsa has a 14 game win streak at home. Hopefully our guys are too young to even care about such nonsense and ball out.

Yeah it will be tough for sure. I truly believe USF is the better more complete team, they are younger, more talented, and better coached. Tulsa is in a must win game and playing at home where they are very comfortable. They also have the advantage of a USF TEAM coming off a big emotional win against UCONN. With both teams playing at their best and on a neutral floor USF is a double digit winner over Tulsa but playing on the enemy's court I can see them losing by 10 today.

USF 60 Tulsa 70 is my prediction that I hope is reversed btw.

  3. Tulsa is a good team that will have the advantage of playing at home as I don't think they could beat the Bulls playing anywhere else.

I said this about the UCONN game if David Collins plays well offensively then USF will be hard to defeat no matter the opponent, he means just that much. The Huskies played well against USF and did all they could against the Bulls to win, but once David Collins got going in the 2nd half UCONN had no chance against Coach Gregory's crew.

  4.      24 pages of Bulls basketball talk. When was the last time this happened? I love it and really hopes it continues because it can and will help build interest in Coach Gregory's USF Bulls program. Like I said earlier lets not be negative and make excuses why not to attend or support the program. If you are able to attend do so, and if not try to encourage others to go in your place. Coach Gregory is building this program the right way and is poised to have USF men's basketball at a place never seen before but he needs everyone's help.

There were a lot of recruits at this game and surely they enjoyed watching  the contest , and the excitement and energy in the arena. That's what can help Coach Gregory the most because you know the negatively and the lack of support has and is always used against USF no matter the HC. Time to change that and let these current Bulls and potential future Bulls see what this program can actually be with some FAN support.

Thank You All and GO BULLS!!!!

  5. This game comes down to have well David Collins plays. This team is good by him really not producing the way he is capable the last hand full of games. Now we are in conference play and USF will not win many games without their supposedly best offensive player still trying to find his game. Also Lang comes back this game and his will add instant offense starting or coming off the bench.

If the Bulls fire on all on their cylinders  they WILL defeat UCONN tonight.

  6. Hopefully people who are close enough to attend the game do not read or listen to posters on this site excuses why not to go see this exciting Bulls team play UCONN.

Excuse 1: Bad time to play UCONN because all the students are away and there will be more Huskies fans then USF fans.

Excuse 2: Why are they wanting White shirts when it should be green because of all the empty seats.

Excuse 3: The 8:30 time is a tough sell because I can't stay awake pass 10:30.

Excuse 4: I:m married with kids and even though school is out I just don't know if the family will be able to attend a later game time.

Solution 1: Students that may not attend has nothing to do with you or anybody else not attending. Go and cheer on the home team!

Solution 2: Put the **** white shirt on and be present. It will be 1 less green seat to worry about.

Solution 3: My granny is 89 years old and she can stay up pass 10:30. If the Bulls win you want be getting sleepy anytime soon.

Solution 4: Vega is married with kids and with no school going on they are free to be woke at 10:30. My wife and I do a lot together and like sports (not the same teams) but she certainly wouldn't hold me back from going to a game of my favorite team.

Bottom line is if you are close by just go support this program and leave the excuses behind you. We are perhaps looking at the true birth of USF MEN BASKETBALL under Coach Gregory.

An awesome recruiter we were told ...

He is an awesome recruiter, been that way at every stop he's made including at his newest stop Illinois. He just couldn't bring in HIS  type of talent at USF because of  certain factors...2 major hurdles  that won't be discussed but should be obvious by now.

Thing about Coach Gregory is he was always known as a **** good floor coach, teacher, and motivator. His weakness WAS recruiting at Georgia Tech but it seems he can recruit better at USF then he could at Tech.

What Coach Gregory has done is put together a really good coaching staff and did it with USF's budget. Gregory fired at Tech and going back to join Tom Izzo's staff, seems to been a blessing and USF is reaping the rewards. The best has yet to come for USF under the leadership of Brian Gregory imo.

  8. TJ Lang is one of our better players and to win fairly easy without him was impressive. Not sure when a USF team could play so well and win on the road without one of the best offensive players on the team. I don't expect to see another turnover game from USF again. We know coach Gregory will get these guys right before the next game.

Castaneda is the calming influence in this team we had the ball good things happen...even with this high turnover game

He was known in HS as a winner, cool calming influence on his teams. A guy you want to have the ball in his hands the last 3 minutes of the game. I don't know if he will ever be the undisputed starting PG for this team because of the talent Coach Gregory will bring in for the backcourt but Castaneda will always get key minutes for USF. See why Wichita state wanted him so bad.

  10. Jamir Chaplin is going to be a star at USF. He has super athleticism and is a get defensive player. His outside shot is coming along greatly and fits the Gregory formula of playing hard on both ends. Chaplin has went against two 5 star players in back to back games including the #1 player in his class, high scoring Ant Man Edwards. Jamir's team won both games with him being a big reason why.

ucf, Cincy, and Uconn are the better teams but can be beaten on any given night.  Wichita is a big step back. Houston is a question mark. SMU takes a step back. We could sweep Tulane and ECU. Bottom line the AAC is much weaker than last year. I am holding to my 15 wins but a few more is possible as long as the team gets better as the season moves on.

I'm not seeing this weak conference at all. The league looks very balance to me with the exception of Tulane and maybe ECU. I refuse to believe that Wichita state is reduced to a bottom feeder program. I also see UCONN, Cincinnati, UCF, and Memphis being good. Memphis is looking good against a top 25 team on a neutral site right now. Houston and SMU are very solid.

I think a .500 record and a 9th place finish will be considered a successful season for USF.

AAC is about to become a very strong basketball conference with what UCONN and Memphis did in hiring Dan Hurley and Penny Hardaway respectably.

Talking to fans before the FAMU game, Gregory commented on our strong 3pt defense. That defense has been absent ever since those comments.

Teams are also very confident playing at USF because there is never a home court advantage. It's truly like shooting in practice for opposing teams sometimes. Maybe one day USF will benefit from playing at home. Would like that automatic 10 point advantage.

  13. The guard play was terrible and none of them were good tonight. Castaneda, Collins, Brown, and Rideau were a combine 8 for 27 from the field. That is simply not going to cut it on this level. Collins certainly have to be better as he was billed to be the best player on the team. Performances like tonight from your guards will get you beat against any kind of better competition.

Coach Gregory did say and continue to say his team will be in a lot of close games. Collins, Rideau, and Brown cannot collectedly play at a less then high level for this team to succeed this season.

    YEah, 148 against Mid-Atlantic Christian U and 137 against Johnson U (FL)

They play no defense either. The Citadel shoot A LOT OF THREES, A LOT OF THREES! USF will just have to control the damage they can do from behind the arc to hold their offense in check. On the offensive for USF they should just be patience, move the ball and they will get any shoot they want with little resistance from the Citadel. Bet on Yetna getting another double-double as there will be plenty of opportunities in that game.
