Do you honestly think Holtz will start a freshman QB day 1?
What makes you think he wouldn't?
Too conservative of a coach - he will go with experience (regardless of merit). How many true freshman in Holtz's years here at USF have started day 1?
How many true freshmen have played this year?? I can think of a few...Price Montgomery Hamilton Whitehurst...Auman had a total number posted a while back
Yes true freshman have played this season, but how many started day 1 and are still starters? Not saying that Asiantii wouldn't play his first season as a true freshman, I just don't see him starting day 1.

Most likely he's been reading the BS on this board. Too young to know better. I expect most of the top commits to leave once they see how the fan base reacts to loses.
I'm sure it has more to do with the results, or lack of, on the field.

I wasn't really looking forward to this game, since I believe it will be a easy win for FSU. But hearing the Leavitt interview has really got me excited for the game. Can't believe he was run out of town.

Radio show was on tonight, right? Did anyone listen? Curious if they took any callers and how tough the questions/comments were?

I waited to hear Skip's press conference before I made my prediction. After hearing him say "BJ played a great game", I heard all I needed to hear.

So's Pitt. Oh wait. They are beating the tar out of a top 15 team. Hmmmm
Watching that game as well. They are just running it, wait for it, right up the middle. Temple game is our only hope of a BE win this year.
How can you say that after Pitt lost to a FCS team and is beating the crap out of #13 VT, up 21 points in under 20 minutes? I just don't get the mentality of most that post on this board.
Coaches have yet to show the ability to adjust their gameplan
Not true. When team is winning, they adjust the game plan to be more conservative. Don't want to embarrasses the other team by winning by more then 1 point.

No gimmes on the schedule with the way Skip likes to play every game close and conservative. I believe Skip even said that if he could script every game it would be like the game against Nevada. Who thinks like that - if I could script every game it would be a game where my team was in total control from the start and the outcome was decided by the end of the 3rd quarter, so the 2nd and 3rd string could get quality playing time.
Playing games close and conservative make any mistakes the team makes that much more critical.

Holtz has established more depth at various positions compared to Leavitt. But Leavitt got more out of the players. IMO neither Leavitt nor Holtz have done a good job at developing players on the offensive side of the ball.
Maybe true, but way not play all of the newly created depth. Didn't see it against Rutgers.

I expected so much more, I was highly impressed with his ability to turn ECU into a winner.
USF was already winning (only 8 games a year on average, but was still winning), so Skip has to knock them down in order to build them up.

Another indication of the growth of the program. When my kids were little and in the Jr. Bulls Club they got free admission into all the football games and we sat in 124 or 125.
Those were the good old days .... Used the JBC ticket to bring friend with my daughter and there were plenty of seats around us in our section so never a problem sitting with us. Wouldn't happen today.
Yep - and they used to choose two every game to walk out with the ref to the middle of the field to watch the coin toss. I was about 1,000 times more excited than my six year old daughter when she was picked for the homecoming game
to do it.
My kids got to go on the field for the coin toss vs. Kansas. Truely a great experience.

That was the day M Blackwell took over as QB.
Blackwell did take over for Gauntt agains SDSU, though his real coming out party wasn't until the next game against SW Texas State (Glenn Gauntt started game) in the torrential downpour that USF won 17-10. I was one of only a few fans in the stands once the downpour started. Gauntt never saw the field again at QB.

Made my selection today at 2:45pm. From what I remember from the board, all seats taken so far, with the excepton of maybe a dozen, are all located in the club section and on the floor. For those that are interested, I believe that they are having 30 to 35 accounts a day make their selections.
Mind if I ask you what donor number you are?
My date is next Wed in the afternoon and hoping to get in the GJ area
Thx
