This Club Seats thing cannot be understated. I literally pay an extra $1k per year just for this and no one has EVER checked. It's wild and depressing. After seeing it again last night, there is no reason to renew with the extra $1k.
You’re going to be able to buy a ticket for $5… sit in club seats and access the club.

Any big golfers here?

Glad you are still on board. Things will get better. Go Bulls!
I actually had a lot of fun sans the play on the field. Will be going to the rest of the games even if it’s just for a quarter or two.

Year after year they can't get the concessions open!! I really don't get it!
The Club is over-sold (to accommodate 100 level) - packed in like sardines - but they can't get vendors to open.
It’s not oversold. It’s the lack of management. Nobody checks your ticket so anybody just walks in.
-
Swore to myself I wouldn’t get season tickets again unless they monitored club access. But the hype got the best of my and I bought tickets Friday.
Couple thoughts:
1. Club seats continue to be a total waste of money. You can buy open market tix and walk in.
2. The tailgate was good. It remains a good reason / opportunity to get family and friends together consistently. This is the only value I derive from the games.

That's certainly what the networks behind expansion want: 2 conferences that are seen as the only ones that matter (so then a big pay dropoff for the rest).
Question is.... whether the super conference idea will actually work long term. Nobody actually wants it, it's just everyone has FOMO. But if you piss off enough people doing this, who knows what happens. Maybe eventually all the people not getting a piece of the pie get momentum for regulations against tv networks....maybe they don't tune in for playoffs and the super conference doesn't make sense monetarily.
how does this get reigned in... we have federal/state funded schools dunking on other federal/state funded schools. Anti-trust somehow?
-
Anyone else share my opinion that we're headed to only 2 conferences that really matter? B10/SEC.
Even if we get into ACC/B12 it will be the same routine until b10/SEC are truly done... which may be never... or until they effectively replace the ncaa.

USF has not done anything material as it relates to OCS. At this point, I think that Weatherford's statements were smoke and mirrors in the midst of the awful B12 news.

Most fun game of the year.
Always like going to Orlando for it too.

UF staff thought that Richardson wasn't the best qb also...when in game it seems obvious he is.
Some players you have to see in the game not practice to judge how they really are. Fortin might
be a practice stud but in games he is a dud.
That’s really the only explanation. Wild.

It isn’t true that we need someone who has a long term commitment to USF…
Frost>>Huepel>Malzahn

I’m still stunned that this staff thought Fortin was a better player and gave us the best chance to win.
-
Shame. You’ll be able to pay 5-10 bucks for a ticket in the coming weeks… sit anywhere you want in the stadium and access club.
-
I don’t think their tv money will drop much.
I think they were expecting a huge uptick when they renegotiated.
Now, they may just stay status-quo or see a minor dip.
-
IMO, this is a predictable statement. I’m struggling with how long I give the administration before I start to think what they’re saying is smoke and mirrors.
There’s two things I’m watching out for:
1. We went from a football facility that included an IPF to just the IPF. When are they going to fully commit to the football facility?
2. The OCS comments loom large IMO. USF/Weatherford/Kelly do not have months and months to sit on what was said without action. The excitement generated By Weatherford’s comments will turn to further frustration if we don’t see action.
Time-wise, what should our expectations be about seeing the strategy and then words to actions?
-
Random thought… and I know the cost of a stadium is far higher than lost ray jay revenues… got it.
Seeing as nobody is going to USF games this season… how damaging is the lack of attendance, parking, concessions to the day jay rental business case?
-
This is an intriguing first step. It is such a shame that it has taken this long. I'll reserve full judgement for when we actually see the plans he is referring too. Until then it is lip service.
Curious... For projects like these, does USF enable donations that are locked to a specific project/purpose?

What he said is basically this story is not over. Hell, even the Iowa State AD said this is not over, in more political terms.
Can we pull ourselves out of the pity party and realize that we still control our own destiny?
We need to beat out Memphis, BSU, Colorado State etc
USF leadership needs a very clear plan and a way to re-engage the ticket holders, fans, donor base.

How many alums are currently coaching somewhere?
We need to get true Bulls back into the helms of this program.
I only know of Larry Scott (who has unfortunately gotten off to a terrible start at Howard) and Calvin Magee. Most former players aren’t coaching… probably because they wouldn’t be good coaches.
Very few former USF assistants across all head coaching regimes are doing much.

Clickbait. He knows USF fans are frenzied right now. That headline is going to get views.

Today's Press Conference

Been awhile since I enjoyed listening to a USF coaches press conference... Golesh seems more "real" if that makes sense.
Scott was particularly annoying, especially at the end.
