Mcfadden committed when he was in 9th grade. Mcfadden and Hillis were arkansas boys and were going to arkansas regardless of who the coach was. Felix I think broke his leg his jr or sr year and a bunch of schools backed off him. I could be wrong but we didn't start recruiting felix til december and he signed in feb.

4-4 I believe was the best this backfield was in sec play.

Almost have 6 degrees of separation with you guys. I have a USF shirt and a mini basketball. The basketball ball has the old logo on it.

I lived in the tampa area when usf climbed all the way to #2.

As much as I like USF, I think the hiring of Houston Nutt will be bad for the program. Yes, it will be good for the short term. His first 2 years are always good but after that talent and recruiting falls off. Lazy recruiter and makes no ingame adjustments.

I wish USF would go after Gus Malzahn.

Nutt couldn't win the SEC with Darren McFadden and Felix Jones in the same backfield for 3 years. Probably the best tandem since Thurmon Thomas and Barry Sanders at OK State. No Thanks.

No passing game. Only coach in america ive seen that does play action and smoke draw on 3rd and long. Good Luck getting top recruits to play for him.

He was fired because Arkansas is more fickle than even our fans.  They want Gillespie, even at the cost of an NCAA tournament caliber coach.  Their fans are bragging on every message board that they are getting BG.

You're going to have to get a guy who is borderline crazy to take this job.  A guy who is so full of himself and has so much energy that he can seduce recruits that USF is about to explode and they are crazy if they don't get on board.  It's going to take a guy who has such a charismatic personality that a kid and his family believe in him and that if their son goes to USF, he can actually be part of something great.

Anyone can say those words, but not anyone can "sell it".  Bc at $800K, you're not going to pull a "name" in, it's just not going to happen.  

Maybe we can pull in a hs coach from one of the hotbed places like Oak Hill and he can bring a few of "his guys" along.  These guys are usually Mc D type talents and if you got something going there you'd have a pipeline for years to come.  I don't care what anyone says, in basketball, the coach isn't as important as the talent.  The best coaches are the best recruiters, not the best Xs and O guys.

Arkansas coach was just fired because they didn't feel he was a good bench coach. He got great talent but couldn't get them to perform at an elite level.

I think he would be an outstanding fit here. I hope we put the full court press on him.

Heath was recruiting Dominique Jones (Lake Wales Senior HS) to arkansas during the recruiting process. How many scholarships does usf have this year in basketball?

Why is usf in a mess? I'm a razorback fan so I don't know the story.

I believe thats why arkansas pulled the trigger. Too much smoke. No comments about being asked about the arkansas job. Arkansas has 7 scholarship offers to give and we return everybody unless someone transfers. Whoever coaches this years team will have a ton of talent. Razorback foundation planes was taken off the flight alert website. Arkansas basketball attendance was around 14k and it has never been that low. Texas AM is a football school not a basketball school.

He's been underachieving. Not very good on the road. I don't think arkansas would of pulled the trigger if they didn't have a plan in place to hire a coach. He's a **** good recruiter. We have 2 top 15 classes back to back.This is with arkansas basketball not being that good. Half court offense. Motion,curls. I think the thing I dislike about him the most is that he's not that good with adjustments.

He was an assistant under tom izzo. 1st job as a head coach was at kent state went to elite 8. Very good recruiter. He plays a half court offense and presses at times. Anything else you want to know?

Yeah. When stan took over the arkansas program we was a joke. Won only 9 games in his first year.Arkansas has never been in the top 25 yet he was able to recruit. He's a good recruiter, good guy.  

I hope you guys get stan heath. My sister is an usf alum and been trying to talk her into getting season tickets.  

Razorback fan here. Stan wasn't getting it done here in arkansas. Stan would be a good hire. He's coached at arkansas for 5 years. He has 2 back to back top 15 recruiting classes and has had 2 lottery pics. (ronnie brewer,al jefferson) I'll be glad to answer any more questions related to arkansas.
