I think Colorado State is near automatic.  They know how well he did at Colorado and he still has a home in Colorado.  He loves Colorado.  Luckily, he loves Tampa more and we have his mom in St. Pete.  :)

I dont know. From his post earlier this year his heart belongs to Florida.

  2. NOT UPS...NOT UPS....They are being shipped via USPS.

Your season tickets have been shipped to the address below via United States

Postal Service, Priority Mail. This is a 2-3 day service. The first delivery

attempt should be made no later than 3 business days from today

Maybe for you.... I got UPS... with a full tracking number.

Wow, that is odd. I was dreading opening my e-mail and reading UPS, I'm ecstatic with mine being USPS. I have a PO Box and even though it's set up very clearly for UPS to deliver there, they always seem to come up with some reason to hold my packages at Akline Dr.

Keep in mind that USPS, UPS, and FEDEX all work together to bring down shipping and delivery cost. Even though UPS might be the shipper some might be delivered via USPS. They refer to it as "the last mile". Trust me i'm a mailman and deliver ups packages everyday. I would say if you keep tracking your # it will tell you if it changes hand to USPS or not.

Oh by the way I'm considered a rural carrier (odessa) so I don't wear the regular uniform, I get to wear my own clothes and I am always sporting a Bulls hat and t-shirt. I get at least 1 "go bulls" everyday and love it

  3. Southeast grad to remain on team despite arrest

    BY ALAN DELL CORRESPONDENT

TAMPA -- University of South Florida head football coach Jim Leavitt said Mike Jenkins would remain on the team and indicated the cornerback would not miss any game time in the fall, following Jenkins' arrest early Friday morning.

The former Southeast High standout and USF teammate, strong safety Carlton Williams, were arrested near Bobalouie's Pub, close to the campus, after a disturbance took place that police were summoned to quell around 3 a.m Friday.

"It wasn't them fighting, but they needed to be suspended and I am going to deal with it," Leavitt said Saturday, following spring practice. "I am going to run the dog out of them, but I am not going to kick them off the team or anything like that. I will make a decision Monday on when they can come back to the team."

Leavitt said Jenkins and Williams were at a bachelor party for linebacker Stephen Nicholas, the Bulls' top player last season and their highest projected player in this year's NFL draft. Thursday was also Jenkins' 22nd birthday.

"They were all excited and fired up and went out with a bunch of guys to Bobalouie's, which is a place not known to have problems," Leavitt said. "Mike is a great kid and knows he made a mistake and Carlton is also a great kid. Neither has gotten into any trouble in the time they have been here. If they were bad guys, I wouldn't take this approach. They wouldn't even be out here with us."

Leavitt said despite their spotless record, the two should have known better to put themselves in a situation like that and would have to pay the consequences, which he would determine on Monday.

Entering his senior season, Jenkins has made 28 starts for the Bulls, which is the third highest of all the players returning next season. Williams, from Valdosta, Georgia, started eight games last season as a sophomore and had 43 tackles.

  4. Bucs agree with Garcia, trade for Plummer

Just one day after quarterback Jake Plummer indicated he'd rather retire than relocate in a trade, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have recovered, signing unrestricted free agent Jeff Garcia on a deal that could allow the veteran to again challenge for a starting job in the league.

Then they traded for Plummer anyway, sending a 2008 conditional draft pick to the Denver Broncos on Saturday in exchange.

While terms were not yet available, ESPN.com's John Clayton reported the deal for Garcia was believed to be for about $5 million a year. The team announced the signing on its Web site.

Garcia quickly became the Bucs' primary target on Friday after Plummer, who has played the past four seasons in Denver but lost his job to rookie Jay Cutler last year, decided that he did not want to join the Bucs. Tampa Bay would have surrendered a fourth-round draft pick to the Broncos under terms of the preliminary trade agreement.

Part of the rationale in completing the Plummer deal, after it had fallen apart, is that Denver coach Mike Shanahan does not want the quarterback to un-retire in a few months and attempt to sign with another team. League sources said Saturday afternoon that the Broncos suspected Plummer might still attempt to join the Houston Texans, where former Denver offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak is the head coach.

By trading Plummer's rights to the Bucs, even for a conditional draft choice, the Broncos have forced his hand. If Plummer decides that he wants to play in 2007, he could not sign anywhere he wanted, because Tampa Bay now technically has been assigned his existing contract.

The only potential risk for the Bucs is that, if Plummer does decide to play, Tampa Bay becomes responsible for his 2007 base salary of $5.3 million.

The deals would give the Bucs two veteran quarterbacks to compete with Chris Simms for the starting job.

Garcia also was sought by several other teams, including Denver and the Oakland Raiders.

The opportunity in Tampa Bay is a good one for Garcia because of Gruden's feelings for him, and the fact the Bucs are not yet ready to hand Simms the No. 1 job. Simms is coming off a season in which he underwent a splenectomy, missed much of the campaign, and has been forced to spend months in rehabilitation.

Plus, Gruden is a coach who simply loves to collect quarterbacks and always feels that his depth chart is never stocked well enough. Garcia has played in the past in offenses that are similar to the design Gruden uses, so the fit should be a solid one for all parties involved.

Last week, the Philadelphia Eagles closed the door on Garcia's return there when they signed A.J. Feeley to a three-year contract extension. The move was somewhat surprising, given that Garcia posted a 5-1 record and led the Eagles to a playoff berth after replacing the injured Donovan McNabb.

Under the right circumstances, Philadelphia probably would have welcomed Garcia back for another season, but only on its conditions and on its timetable. His reluctance to re-sign with the Eagles before the outset of free agency solidified the desires of some within the organization to pursue Feeley instead, and to essentially make him the No. 2 quarterback on the depth chart.

All along, though, Garcia and agent Steve Baker knew they would have alternatives beyond the Eagles, and the Plummer situation simply created another option for them.

"Jeff feels he has multiple good options, but the opportunity to play for Jon Gruden in Tampa is something that really excites him," Baker said on Friday afternoon. "Jon is a coach who Jeff believes has the ability to bring out the best in him. In fact, he feels that by playing for Jon, he has a very good chance of duplicating the success he had with the Eagles in Philadelphia last year."

A three-time Pro Bowl performer, but a quarterback nomad since 2003, his final season with the San Francisco 49ers, Garcia is joining his fourth different franchise in four seasons.

In 99 games, including 92 starts, Garcia has completed 1,811 of 2,972 passes for 20,385 yards, with 136 touchdown passes and 73 interceptions, for an efficiency rating of 86.4. He has thrown for more than 2,500 yards five times in his career

  5. My condolences to his family.

Former USF player dies in indoor league game

    Javon Camon

DAYTONA BEACH - A former University of South Florida football player passed away Monday night from injuries sustained in a World Indoor Football League game played at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach.

Javon Camon, a defensive back with the Daytona Beach Thunder, was pronounced dead at the Hallifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach. The 25-year-old former USF Bulls defensive captain was injured late in the fourth quarter of the Thunder's 44-42 loss to the Columbus Lions.

Camon, who led the Bulls in tackles during the 2004 season, went down after he was blocked by Lions wide receiver Juval Winston. The game was delayed for approximately 25 minutes while emergency medical service technicians attempted to resuscitate him.

An official cause of death has not been released. Camon was a four-year letterman at USF and a graduate of Charlotte High School in Port Charlotte. On September 11, 2004 he was involved in a play that left Tennessee Tech wide receiver Drew Hixon in a coma.

  6. I have been looking forward to seeing Jason Sherman in action for some time now.  From what I have read about him he has excellent speed, runs a 4.4, and good hands; however, he brings size(6-4") and strength to the field, which translates to delivering big hits to unprepared defensive backs, Crack-back blocks, and he looks to open lanes by making key blocks all over the field.

This type of WR is exactly what we need.

  7. Saw this from a cardinal fan on rivals:

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On the website in the article they post 2006 but it is for 2007. This is just the BCS Leagues as they did all 11 Division IA leagues. They had C-USA as the top Non BCS League, they did say that league still hasn't recovered from the UofL/UC/USF departure.

    6. ACC - Call this a prove-it year for the ACC after a disastrous 2006. Miami and Florida State still aren't quite up to past snuff making the league look a little more down than it actually is. Georgia Tech, Boston College, Clemson, Maryland, and yes, Wake Forest, are going to be fantastic, while Virginia Tech should be good enough to be in the mix for the national title. If Virginia and North Carolina can improve, the league will move up the overall conference rankings. So why is the league sixth? The others got better, too.

The best team should be ... Virginia Tech

    5. Big Ten - After one of the league's worst years in a long, long time, with Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin, Penn State, and a bunch of garbage, things should bounce back. Wisconsin is loaded with one of its best teams since the Rose Bowl years, Michigan's offense will be unstoppable, and Ohio State's defense should be phenomenal. Penn State will be in the mix for the Big Ten title if all the holes can be filled and if QB Anthony Morelli can improve. Just about everyone else should be improved with Iowa certain to bounce back, Purdue, Michigan State and Minnesota good enough to go to bowls, and the projected also-rans, Illinois, Indiana and Northwestern, all appearing to be far, far better.

The best team should be ... Wisconsin

    4. Pac 10 - It's not just USC and a bunch of other teams. While the Trojans will likely be the preseason No. 1, Cal has its best team yet under Jeff Tedford, UCLA is loaded and has the potential to be a top-ten team, Oregon should be more consistent, Oregon State has its best team since the Fiesta Bowl winner of 2000, Arizona State should be better under Dennis Erickson, and the rest of the league is full of improving, pesky teams, most notably Arizona.

The best team should be ... USC

    3. Big East - While the Big East might not be the best conference in the country, it's loaded with more good teams than ever. West Virginia, Louisville and Rutgers will all be in the national title chase, Pitt, after a few years of great recruiting, should finally be the team Dave Wannstedt wants, South Florida is good enough to shock the top teams and win the conference title, Cincinnati will be more than fine with Brian Kelly at the helm, Connecticut is older and better, and Syracuse, well, Syracuse should be a little better. This should be a fascinating race.

The best team should be ... West Virginia

    2. Big 12 - Yes, the conference is back as long as the North holds up its end of the bargain. Kansas State, Kansas and Iowa State should be better, and Colorado can't be any worse, but the real stars will be Missouri and Nebraska with the Huskers possibly in the national title chase. The South should be a killer with Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Texas A&M each standing a puncher's chance of knocking off Texas or Oklahoma for the title.

The best team should be ... Texas

    1. SEC - And it's not even close. You could flip around the other five BCS conferences in any way and it'd be hard to argue against the order, but there's no way anyone but the SEC can be named on top. Florida, LSU, Tennessee, Georgia, Arkansas and Auburn would be among the favorites to win any other conference in the country, while South Carolina isn't far behind. Kentucky is good enough to go back to a bowl, while Vanderbilt has the experience to finally get back to the post-season. Alabama will be a nasty out with Nick Saban coaching. You could do a lot worse than Ole Miss and Mississippi State for the bottom feeders.

The best team should be ... LSU
