  1. Yes, the irony here is if USF loses to WVU this week - it means an even better chance for a better bowl. But in your analysis above you are probably correct that Cincinnati will steal that Texas slot. Ironic.
  2. How is Louisville a BCS at-large? If WVU and Louisville go undefeated Louisville wins the BE.
  3. You're right.  It was late when I was preparing this post.  I need to correct that. **** it, Jim! Get on the ball .......!!   8-) With your changes will the Texas Bowl still be 60%? That would be great and bring me back into the bowl picture .. The mistakes didn't change where I thought USF would go.  Chances are still the same. 60%? I'd put it more at 80% right now. I think it will just come down to everybody being an LSU fan this week and if Arkansas wins then suddenly becoming a Florida fan. And everybody should probably become a Notre Dame fan too. And Nevada. :-)
  4. Are you certain on that last item? I thought two conferences could make a deal. I thought it was more done to get rid of some of the shennanigans of the Seattle Bowl type situation. I thought the 'winning record' rule took care of most of that. I see Ville (BE bid) and WVU with an at-large.
  5. How do you have WVU winning the BE title? UL won the head to head.
  6. I see the Bulls in Texas.  Louisville will win BE as WVU will dust up Rutgers.  UL gets BE autobid.  WVU won't drop out of BCS Top teams so they'll get at-large.  Only thing that could screw USF is Notre Dame getting waxed, but two of Arkansas, Florida and LSU will lose too....so ND likely won't fall too far (or past them). Rutgers to Sun/Gator.  Bulls to Texas. Somebody needs to tell FSU to beat UF this week.  Then have the Texas Bowl broker a deal with Champs Sports to take Big 10 rep in exchange for us.  7-5 FSU vs 7-5 USF in Champs Sports in Orlando.  There's a matchup.
  7. It will be interesting to see what the TV rating for Rutgers/UL last night. I know people say the SEC is a juggernaut, but there is obviously some tanginble interest in NE football. The Tri-State area up there simply has more people than the rest of the country. A good Rutgers team that can climb into the Top 10 can put a lot of eyes on the screen for many years. Will their run continue into next year? Will they keep their coach? I don't know, but Rutgers has certainly been a media darling this year. ESPN has a lot of reasons to make Big East football and basketball go. That contract is big and the more eyes on the screen the more Big East love you'll hear. I know a lot of folks are disappointed Louisville loss, but the Big East having three legitimate contenders isn't a bad thing. I had hoped WVU beat Louisville and then Rutgers beat Louisville, but oh well. The Big East just needs to make sure the BCS powers that be don't match them up vs. Boise State in a BCS bowl. That would be a slap in the face. The Big East BCS rep also needs to beat the team they are matched up against. That keeps the critics quiet another year.
