What? No USF gals! Man, we dont get any respect at USF!
-
We blitz more than usual, yes, but what is that really saying?  WE still did not blitz enough.  Brohm loves feling comfortable back there.  If you cannot get to him, you cannot beat Louisville.  Period.  We gave up on the blitz too early.
BURNHAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I remember someone came on this board from another school and said something to the effect of "Good luck with Burnham as your defensive coordinator."  I now know what he meant.
[And don't even get me started on Rod Smith!!!!!!!!!!!! ][/ What is that man's obsession with the QB draw on 2nd and long?!?!?!?  And why are we trying to be so conservative and kill clock with 4:21 to go in the 1st half down only 7 points?!?!?! ÂÂ
> > > > >
If you don't want to get started talking about Rod Smith then why are you talking about him??? :loser
-
can you pick up the video on computer??
-
WOW!!! Those palomilla steaks must really do something for you!

What gets me is if you go to rivals.com and look up the 100 best running backs in the nation, and just look at the ones from Florida you may see in most of them that Rutgers,Pittsburgh, Louisville, and WVA are listed in the running for these players and not USF. The BE didn't let us into the conference ot of the goodness of their hearts. They needed a school in Florida so they could do some recruiting down here. While we are so excited about being in the BE'and that is great, they are kicking our butts in our own territory. USF needs to beat those teams inorder to get some respect, or atleast give them a good run for their money!!

I agree smazza. I went to Vandy and although there hasn't been much to cheer for there, I can't imagin e ever wanting to see Tenn. win' or Ole Miss, or The Gators for that matter!

Congratulations E.T. and wife!!!

I agree. Rod Smith [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Has anyone on this board ever been a coach at any level?  It is an unbelievable experience seeing things that you thought were great decsions go up in flames and mistakes turn in to game winning plays. ÂÂ
I don't think I have ever been any more angry at playcalling than during the UCONN game last year.  That series at the goal line still baffles me.
Not sure if this is the time to roll heads at USF.  Coaching changes don't always end up bringing positive results.  Witness the Ole Miss change from David Cutcliffe.
i have coached coached from pee wee to highschoo;
watched the game over 40 years
and i have seen things at usf never seen before
give old miss 2 more years before you pass judgment
leavitt has had 10 years and hasnt won a bowl game, or conference championship
YOu coached what? There must be a misinterpretation here. YOu don't talk or act like you know much about coaching. much less football coaching. Oh I get it! I bet you coached tiddly wnks or checkers or something like that. How about it smazz, what did you coach and are you talking about American Football??????
[smiley=iamwithstupid.gif]

Hey, I got smazz to respond, not once but twice in one day. I'm honored. Let the games begin!!! [smiley=bluescreen.gif]

YES we are all fans, that is why we are participating in a USF board. As for the rest of theis thread, the poster I can relate with is Mid South and I agree with most everything said.
Mike, everyone should stick to that policy not just Smazza. I often find it outright ridiculous how many negative threads that point to Smazza by the Mikes and ET.  I have said many times that the personal attacks are more frequent by those that choose to only see the positives of USF and only after the first attack do you see the personal attacks escalate like a wild fire. Funny thing is Smazza got banned but none of the posters that enter into pissing matches with him felt the same rath. The only thing I will say is out of the 4 (Smazza, Mike x 2, and ET) tivonly Smazza chooses to look at USF with a pessimistic tone and his opinions are slanted to the negae.
I understand positive criticism, but upholding smazza because he chooses a pessimistic tone? Thats the most rediculous thing that I have ever heard. That makes as much sense as those fans who booed PJ when he went into the game for grothe. The guy goes in to try and keep the team together inorder to win and he is booed. Is that the pessimistic tone you are talking about? HOW IN THE WORLD DO YOU EXPECT ELEVEN GUYS WHO ARE TRYING TO WORK TOGETHER IN PERFECT COORDINATION TO EXECUTE A PLAY is beyond me. Please explain to me how a pessimistic tone can help in any way? I

I have heard sportscasters say that the shortening of the game by as much as 15 plays affects the teams that are pass oriented and favors the teams that are run oriented. Urban meyer is one who is complaining and that he believes that is what cost him the
auburn game. Under present rule, if a passing oriented team is 7-10 points behind in the 4th qtr, it is virtually impossible to get back in the game. Can anybody comment on that?

I'm believing in atleast one more win; hoping for two more victories and praying for three more.
anything else is pure gravy!!!!!
-
Mutt what are you saying! you are the eternal optomist. aren't you the guy who predicted a 12-0 season?
dont give up man!!!!!!!!
-
complain, complain, complain. That all you ever do; If you ever said som ething good about the team maybe people would listen. Get a life man!
-
Are you kidding? Mike hasn't said a word on this subject and you criticize?
-
I have met Mutt and I know that he is like a gentle giant, and I bet it was one of those little 5ft 6 in midgets with a big ego that was pestering him.
Mutt, just hang in there it gets easier as you get to be "one of those old farts."
To paraphrase Gen. MacArthur:
"Old farts never die, they just fade away." and clear the whole back row behind you.
-
This is not about "rights" and chess tournaments.  This is about being in a place where alumni pay money to sit in good seats.  They are there to support the program by buying season tickets and donating.  Mutt, you are not a small person and if someone paid money to see a game and can only see the back of your jersey, he can ask you to sit down.  He/she may not get the answer they like, but they can still ask. ÂÂ
If we tell all those people they should stay at home, then everyone bitches about the seats being empty.  Right now, USF is a casual atmosphere and a family outing.  Hopefully in years to come we will be loud and screaming and standing (if you want).
I know it sucks but you both paid to be there, some people just like to cheer from the seats.  At least they are there supporting USF.  Doesn't always make them less of a fan. ÂÂ
WHAT AN INTERESTING TOPIC! 8-)
is mutt 300lbs or more? he didnt look that big in his picture but the bull horns and beads add weight to him
where was bubbles during all this?
i am 5'6 so if i stand no body would complain!
IS THEIR A STADIUM RULE about standing?
]
i have been to so many venues that i dont remember how many but i never remember  standing being an issue
drinking and cursing seem to be the big issues i have ever witnessed
in the 90's my nephew(tight tank top guy ) and i would go to every uf/fsu game and everyone seemed to be standing
i cant beleive this is such a big issue
next game i go to you will see  find me in shoops section next to jen or student section.
i am not dealing with cranky old farts that ***** when you stand.what a bummer.
maybe usf should have sectionwhereyou cant stand!

and we come back the next week, assuming we beat uconn, and whip the Tar Heels, would USF be considered on par or better than the U? What would that do for recruiting?
-
went shopping with wife sunday and was stopped by several people who wanted to talk about the game. didn't realize I had my USF shirt on. That might bode well for attendance. Grothe really made an impression!
'cuse beating UConn at start of the 4th
in American Athletic Conference
