im hopeing that we can have a stronger attendence this year due to a quick 6-0 start. this early success and hopefully the incoming freshman will add at least a good few thousand extra regular fans to bulls country

if USF is undefeated at homecoming, we will break our attendance record.

the makeup of the Tampa Bay area is a good mix of snowbirds and northeastern transplants who love the Yankees or Sox, and they aren't changing their alligances for the D-Rays.

thats not necessarily true, the bucs certainly dont have this issue.  giants and patriots games will have opposing fans spread out amongst the stadium, but they are definately not noticable.

The Rays need their own fan base, i guarentee that if the rays start winning, most of those bosox and yankee supporters will learn to love the rays, and trade in their old jerseys for new green ones.  the rays still are still a young franchise, i keep forgetting that, this will take lots of time.

and yes if the rays do become good, the "trop is outdatted" card will be played instantly

it will take a while, but Tampa will soon learn to love the rays (or the Tarpons... )...

most importantly, tampa will learn to hate the yankees and crap sox

to be honest all that hasnt done very much at all, the rays have about the same attendence average as they did last year...

why dont the marlins do any of that?  probably because theyre packing for vegas

but miami fans are worse...so why even point that out.

great game tonight, second row in right field, i had peanuts thrown at me by the massive red crowd behind me. it was awesome to be there, but the crowd sucked.  its a shame that so many people from around Tampa Bay come out to support boston and boo their home team, but it nice to be able to talk ****...the few rays fans there got to enjoy the rare moment that is a boston defeat.  kazmir was dominant.  9 innings, 2 hits, no runs.

all TB boston fans just come out because they saw the movie fever pitch and now SUPER SOX FANS

im sure the bucs wouldnt have an issure selling out a 75K stadium before the blackout date, miami fans are far worse banwagoners than Tampa.  

Randy, why must you have such a hatred of the city where you attend school?  I never used to get annoyed with Miami teams until i started reading your posts about the bucs and Tampa sucking...

things are definately coming together nicely, and attendance is picking up with the winning, over 17,000 tonight, and thats all Rays fans.  Arizona fans dont travel well and not many live here as it is.  

I went to last nights game which we won 8-5 and it was awesome.  There was actually a little atmosphere for once.  A lot more excitement.  It was pretty awesome sitting in right field with a group of people i didnt know just giving the diamondback right fielder sean green a whole bunch of crap.

ive never seen that at a rays game before.
