  1. We have 4 seats, very rarely are we able to sell the other two, although it's truly amazing how there are so many Bulls "fans" when a big team/game comes to town. We usually eat them because I don't want people I don't know sitting next to us and I certainly dion't want to expose any person involved in a charity to me at a game. I know it sounds crazy, but at least they aren't going to the other teams fans.

Same here. We use 3. We usually have to eat one. Sometimes I'll sell it for $10 in the parking lot or give it to a Bulls fan who is a tailgate neighbor, but they never actually use the seat. I won't sell or give to a fan from another team. Either way, I am convinced that I could do better financially if I just bought tickets for each game instead of having season tickets. I still like to support the school and the tax writeoff for the donation is nice. I just wish there weren't so many empty seats.

  2. Thanks for all of you who showed up yesterday, I think everyone had a good time after all technical glitches were fixed. Things didn't fully run as planned, but after a few beers,it really didn't matter much. Coach Holtz was awesome as always, a big thanks to swamprat, Wolfman and BDYZR for keeping me sane during chaos. Extra thanx to Craig from Bulls Outfitter , Eric, Bulls Club, SBC, cheerleaders, and the Iron Bulls! Hope you'll come back next year. Please post what you liked/disliked so I can make it better for next year! Go BULLS!

Thanks to Mutt and company for putting this together and creating a first class event once again. Always such a good time and a great way to kick off the season.

    Thanks again!

  3. Was trying to remember the last time I walked out of Raymond James Stadium with a smile on my face and my head held high. It was September 24th, 2011--that's the last time our beloved Bulls have won at home. It was a 54-24 waxing of UTEP (yes, I had to look it up--it's been so long). When was the last time we beat a conference foe at home, you ask? For that, you'd have to go back to the Wednesday night Rutgers game on November 3rd, 2010. Yes, 2010. Wow. That's pretty bad.

I don't know about you guys, and of course I want a Big East championship, but if I can't have that--I just hope we can will all of our home games. I hate walking out of the stadium a loser. Last year was so heartbreaking and we should have won every one of those games. Cincinnatti, Louisville, Miami, WVU--we were in every one of those games until the 4th quarter where we found a way to lose.

The best part about college football to me is the home game experience. The anticipation, the tailgate, the home crowd and the victory celebration.

There is no reason any of those teams on our home schedule should beat us at home if we bring our A game and a home crowd.

Let's get back to winning our home games like we used to back in the day!

    GO BULLS!

  4. Mutt, I have a portable PA system called a "Block Rocker" that comes complete with microphone, input/output plugs and such. It has a built in power supply that will last thru the hole event. That will at least make it loud enough that he doesn't have to yell.

hey good looking, we'll be to pick you up later!

that old Mr. Microphone commercial popped in my head

  5. This is why you will see 4, 16 team conferences eventually.....

I'm leaning that way as well. 4 sixteen team conferences with each conference champion in the playoffs.

It seems very reasonable to me. That being said, I don't honestly see the old alma mater as part of the equation.

    Nope.

Gotta hope we can have a solution that doesn't leave 50% of the FBS schools out of having even a small shot at the championship. Oh well, screw the fans, this is about ratings and money.
