Already over $7,000 raised.
Prayers to his family and friends.
That number feels so underwhelming to me. I thought we'd blow past the $20K mark rather quickly.
I'm pretty disappointed in the USF community to be honest.

We should take absolutely nothing away from the FAMU game with one exception.
FAMU is as bad as expected and USF is much better than FAMU.

I hadn't realized that the Orlando market also included Daytona and Melborne.
Tampa-St Pete Makes sense as they are actually close to each other. We should get Ft. Myers wrapped in with us too, if they get Daytona and Melbourne. Though, we'd still be 11th even with Ft. Myers/Naples

We should do a Crimson out. The stadium would look completely full!!

The thread title surely must be a self reference as Ryan pretty much nailed it... I agree with BDYZR, Ryan was a little over dramatic in a couple of answers, but he was spot on in his assessment.

Terrible tragedy.
Thoughts and prayers go out to Kino's friends and family.

Commuter school definitely has a negative connotation to many.
Whether or not people use it indenting to be negative does not change the fact that it's negative. Given USF's policy that all (almost all, I know there are loop holes) incoming freshman have to live on campus eliminates the tag altogether. The campus atmosphere and students coming to class from on campus or apartments adjoining campus has increased exponentially from even 10-15 years ago.
USF used to be a commuter school. It's just not anymore.
What are the graduation rates? Compared to non-'commuter' schools?
I do not know and I don't think it matters.
It's a perception of negativity. Reality doesn't matter.

I'm pretty sure USF would beat Largo 44-6, but not absolutely sure
USF would blank Largo.
Pinellas County Schools have not been very successful in football for a very long time.
Just MHO
I was being facetious
We'd be near the infamous 255-0 game if we seriously played Largo

I've got season tickets and will only attend 1 game. Had tickets last year and went to none.
Hopefully I will return from the north next summer and USF will reward me by getting their **** back together.

Might have 20,000 fans with 1,000 yards rushing out of the stadium mid-4th quarter
-
You mean I can have a living room experience at a Dolphins game?!
Wow, that's nice. So it's just $750 a ticket versus free? Oh, I'll just go with my living room then...

Here is how the divisions stack up based on two year average of the Sagarin Poll
On average over the last two years the east division has been about 10 ranking spots better than the west division, which is actually pretty even in my book.
Note: Sagarin includes FCS teams in his rankings, hence they go above 128.
Edit to add: this conference is terrible... USF isn't making it better...

"Could D'ernest Johnson start over Mack?"
No.
I think this is an accurate answer.
Though, Johnson will get his fair share of carries. The kid is a beast. We've got an extremely talented backfield.

In Woulard's case I'd prefer the new rule to be in effect. Make him sit out, but add another year of eligibility.
Seeing how I don't think that's a possible scenario, I hope he gets the waiver and can play this year.
-
Flowers would start. Woulard would have a chance to take over mid-season, if he got the playbook down.
-
Woulard getting his waiver would be best case scenario. It would give him three years to play 3 seasons. If he doesn't get the waiver he sits out and only has 2 years to play.
If he gets it, I don't think he should necessarily be the starter because he hasn't been here very long, but we'd be able to work him into some game action to get him ready for next year.
That said, no waiver and he will be leading the scout team. It could only help the defense.
-
Because it's FAMU and a lot of people like to watch their band, I'd say around 20-25K to start, depending on the game goes there may be minimal early exits
One fan base will be leaving early. Hopefully it's theirs!

Derrick Calloway
Where did you get that?
He was left off the official roster release and it's been confirmed on twitter. That's the guy.

But Kinnan isn't coaching; he's a consultant. The combo of Hope/Reeves will be the third offensive coordinator we've had in Taggart's tenure at USF. I'm just not convinced that Consultant Kinnan can have as much impact. With Taggart retaining the play-calling, I'm just sure how different things will be this upcoming season. I sure hope I'm proved wrong.
I think Kinnan would carry more weight than a typical consultant. Taggart trusts Kinnan 100 percent and will allow him to make changes where necessary. Where as a guy like Hope may want to change something and Taggart will need to be sold on it.

Willie Taggart inherited the little giants with the expectations of still being a BCS conference team.
It's still possible, but I don't think people accept how tremendously bad a situation Skip Holtz and Doug Woolard left us in.
