There may be 1200 people in attendance at SMU and Temple tonight. Gotta love the AAC

I didn't make a prediction the last 2 weeks so it's my fault we got our ass kicked. Here goes.
UConn

Brown
Atkins

Seeing a line like this reinforces why I don't gamble

Here's my Monday morning perspective... Michael Kelly made two back-to-back hires in football that have no head coaching experience and require on the job training. There is also a real possibility that he passed up on a coach that just whooped our ass. The only thing Michael Kelly is doing successfully is providing a springboard for inferior programs to surpass USF.
Six years ago the University hired an AD with no experience in running a successful athletic department. When it was time to make his first major hire said AD decided to hire an unproven HC with no experience and no real OC experience. After this hire flames out in epic fashion said AD decides to go and hire another unproven HC with no experience and questionable OC experience. Failed leadership at all levels.
And we wonder why we’re in the state we are.

Next home game is Temple. Same day as FSU/Miami game. I'm sure it will be a ghost town

Elephant in the room.
I do not think we have the roster needed to sustainably compete.
There I said it.
I'm sure they work hard. I'm sure they care. Whether it's psychological or physical or both, they're not capable of the task at hand. A bowl? Sure. Sustained great performance? No.
I think Golesh knows it and at the clip he is recruiting I see results there I like and am willing to let those guys hit the field before judging.
Yes the roster is bad but not bad enough to get your poop pushed in by UAB and FAU with first year head coaches. There are a lot of P5 transfers on this roster. Did we strike out on all of them?

They wanted it more. Their players played with passion. I was at the game and was thinking about how aggressive FAU was playing. Even those really dirty targeting penalties, absolutely dirty. But you know what I get it. Those kids were playing with hunger so your emotions especially at that age will get the best out of you when tackling someone.
You can tell it was personal. They checked a very important box. LOOK BETTER than your instate in conference rival. I think what they did yesterday and making it personal is going to play dividends like it did for ovideo.
Having your MBB reach the final four doesn't hurt either. We will soon be in their Riverview mirror.

There is no way our talent is so bad that we got prison raped by UAB and FAU with first year head coaches. Hell Monmouth put up 20 and gave up 42 to FAU. Is our talent worse than Monmouth? This roster is littered with p5 transfers,. It can't be that bad..

I really really don't like the tone of this being a player leadership problem, the kid coming out and talking about how they needed to do more more gives me some creepy vibes, it's clear the coach has conviced the kids this is their problem to fix.
I didn't listen but if that's what he said he'll lose the locker room pretty quickly

Why you ask? Well because USF is hiring the wrong coaches lol. I like CAG and his confidence but I’m gonna give him another year to see if he can actually be a head coach. So far he is basically being out coached by UAB & FAU. I like the fast past offense. I remember when UCiF tried it their first season under Frost and they went winless. I’m gonna hope CAG turns this thing around next season.
They weren't winless in their first season with Frost. They went 6-6 and showed they were turning things around.

Stadium isn’t worth it. MK needs to come up with a strategy for winning tonight.
He has no strategy for winning. His only strategy is failure

We invite and welcome in lower state schools, while saying we can’t get into better conferences because no in state school would allow it, we indulge their rivalry ideas, we lose to them at homecoming, we lose all of the time, other schools move in and move out while we continue to go backwards, money continues to flow in, we hemorrhage fans, we continually become less relevant, infrastructure continues to be built and yet we just get embarrassed at every turn while one thing remains the failing same at the top of this epitome of failure.
Fire Mike Kelly!
Fire Mike Kelly now!
How much more damning evidence do you need to see that this moment perfectly encapsulates exactly where his vision is leading us.

Brad you can merge this with the other thread

Navy and Rice were an illusion. Rice lost their starting QB and Navy missed a bunch of wide open receivers and gifted us 9 points with TOs. We are just about as bad as last year.

Too many fire the coaches threads. MK is the root of the misery and failure. Hire a new AD and let him lead the athletic program

I got accepted to UF and USF out of high school and chose USF to stay closer to home and save my parents some money. I often think what if I chose UF instead of USF. Doesn't make me a bad USF fan even though some may think it does
