  1. ITS WHY YOU JUST SAY NO SPECTATORS ON THE FIELD OF PLAY. WHY HAVE TO DO ANYTHING TO THE GOAL POSTS?  IF THE SPECTATORS WOULD OBEY THE LAW (NOT TRESSPASSING) THERE WOULD BE NO ISSUE. THERE WOULD BE NO EXTRA COSTS FOR SECURITY FOR THE FIELD, FOR THE GOAL POSTS ETC. THEN USF COULD SAVE THAT EXTRA MONEY EVERY YEAR AND PUT IT TOWARDS AN ON CAMPUS STADIUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BY EVEN ATTEMPTING TO RUN ON THE FIELD YOU ARE COSTING USF MONEY EACH AND EVERY GAME.

Oooh oooh.... wait I got it!! Let's tell our fans to remember that having trash cans at the RayJay costs money, and the people who empty them cost money to be paid. So we'll tell everybody they should take their trash home with them, then we'll save up lots of money and we won't cost USF that money!!!

No EVEN better! USF and the RayJay pay lawyers to be on their staff, and probably have insurance too in case fans fall over and die from a heart attack, or trip and break their nose on the stairs, or fall backwards out of their chairs.... let's just tell everyone not to have any accidents, so they never have to make insurance claims or pay any lawyers!!! We can save USF some money and build an on-campus stadium with it!!!

    Moral of the Story: There's a "stick-in-your-ass."

I don't care what douchebags at what university were dumb enough to kill somebody while tearing down a goalpost. There are a million and one ways to keep fans from tearing down goalposts, and 999,999 of them involve making the fans happy too by allowing them to rush the field without touching the goalposts.

  2. OK well I never heard of the "wallpaper" being torn down. Even if it was, it's worth the experience of rushing the field, and certainly better than 250-pound RJS employees tackling 90-pound girls and shoving Tazers in peoples' faces to keep them from rushing. IF we tore a banner, then perhaps there should be better planning next time. Why are there trash cans? So people don't litter. Planning. But this is a moot point, and does not detract from my original argument.

  3. And hell yes it was REALLY worth it, the three times we've rushed, those were the most amazing and memorable games I've been to. I shook hands with, patted, and jumped up and down with players like J.R. Reed after those big wins. Those are just some of the most memorable of the experiences that tie me and other students to the university now and forever, and will be part of why we chose to support the university finanacially for the rest of our lives.

  4. I am quite unfamiliar with any such banner being ripped up. Does that banner even hang in the student section? If a banner was ripped up, I can assure you it was not thousands of dollars to replace. And in a stadium that allows field rushing, they don't put easily-torn-down banners in conspicuous locations, I'm sure. Why would our fans tear our own school's banner? That doesn't make sense.

  5. No, that's not where I should have stopped.

It doesn't "HAVE" to be on the field. But at traditionally powerful football schools, schools with tons of school spirit, or schools who simply support the hell out of their fellow students (players) (like UCF, which stormed the field just because of a win breaking a huge long losing streak), fans rush the field. It shouldn't be a problem if the proper security measures are in place, and those security measures aren't taken advantage of. It shouldn't be a problem if we support school spirit in the same sense that hundreds of other American universities do.

Don't make the mistake of thinking that I only support an OCS for fan-rushing purposes. That is quite untrue. An OCS would mean a million other things; I just chose to blast you for your stance concerning fans rushing the field.

  6. See that's the thing, this on campus stadium crap always get a new life right after drunk fans get told they can't run on the field and destroy everything in sight.

The thing is, they don't belong there.  The field is for players, the stands are for fans.

I don't want to see a bunch of stoned idiots rush a stage when I'm at a concert, I also don't care to see a bunch of drunk juveniles tearing up a field when I'm at a football game.

For your edification, my friend, I have never been drunk at a USF football game, as I have always been representing the painted folk at the helm.

Our fans to date have never destroyed anything, must less "everything in sight," and we have rushed at least three times in my experience. The only thing fans have destroyed is their own ankles when trying to jump down.

"The thing is", we do belong there.  The field is for players, the stands are for fans, and when a big time game is over and USF comes out on top, the fans deserve to be united with the team, and the team deserves to be united with the fans.

Whether you attend concerts with "stoned idiots" or not is your concern. Your reference to students as "drunk juveniles" is quite incorrect, mostly baseless, and exposes your annoyingly conservative tendencies. If you don't believe in celebrating a huge win for our team, don't come to our games. Go be a Miami Hurricanes fan.

  7. Yeah, it'll definitely be hawt if our only losses are to ranked teams PSU and Miami. And the PSU loss wasn't too bad, especially considering UL has gone on to win games by 50-point margins in the past few weeks and Miami bulldozed Duke (not that it was a surprise). Miami beat Colorado worse....

I'd say depending on how the Homecoming game goes, we can call this a hell of a season!

Dunno what we're going to do next year though without the A-Train.....

  8. You must remember that if USF, WV, and Louisville tie at 6-1 in league play, the BCS takes the higher ranked Big East team. Lets just not go throwing oursleves in the ring yet until we take care of business on the field.

OK so riddle me this.... if we beat both WVU and UL, and then end up losing to some other team like UConn, would UL still be chosen over us? Given that we would have beat both of them, and the rankings are BS anyways....

I think I'll need a Taser if UL gets chosen over us and we've got the same W-L record....

  9. Ok students heres a question and a challenge all in one... Ready?   Here it is.   Where the heck are all of you when we have basketball games at our OWN,(well on campus at least) Stadium? If you all are complaining about an on campus stadium, let's see you all at Bball games. (Or is it you can't really get your drink on before the games like at football?) We used to, right Matty, Terry, MikeyB,  and the rest of you all faithfulls. Let's put it up or shut it up this season.    The Reaper

    I heart the Reaper!

  10. I told ya'll in another post - if we don't have an on-campus stadium in 20 years, I'm your man. I need 4 years to finish medical school and 3 years for the residency.... 13 years of positive cash flow should do it....

    YOU THINK I'M JOKING....

Seriously, if this website is still up 20 years from now, I'll go and quote this post when "Faza Stadium" gets built right over a bulldozed University Mall.
