  1. It was alot of talk about Dawsey, and how it really reflects well on USF that we put out good assistants.  Then There was discussion on Marve w/ Josh saying it would prolly come down to FSU and USF, a slight edge to the Criminoles.

Brantley seemed to be kinda looking down his nose at USF, and slipped in a bunch of remarks like "im sure there will be a lot of partial qualifiers, etc.

  2. About a month to go in the recruiting process, and it looks like we may pull in our best class ever!

For those in the know, and to facilitate general football discussion, here are a few names i'm wondering about.

    Latravous Washington: Ath. Bradenton

Supposedly commited to Nebraska, where his brother (Fabian of the Oakland Raiders) went, but I hear he is wavering.  Will probably play safety, but maybe USF could offer him a shot at playing qb.

Looking at the video, his throwing mechanics are really pretty poor, but seems to have decent arm strength and is definately very big and fast.

    Calvin Sutton:  LB.  Deland

This guy has been offered and is visiting USF.  Auburn wants him and has offered, so he must be a real force considering he is about 5'10.

    Travaris Cadet:  Ath.  Miami Central

I inquired about this guy a while back, and he has a visit to USF coming up.

Its interesting to me that we seem to be kinda backing off the Miami area this year.

Compared to Washington, Cadet seems to be more polished, and he is obviously very quick.  Arm strength and Height seem borderline, but we've heard that before......   If nothing else, could definately be a playmaking return man and slot reciever.

Anyone with knowledge of these guys, or others to add to the list,  it'd be great to get some serious football discussion going on this particular board.

  3. Hill should redshirt to find a position.  We are stacked at WR, but he could probably contribute there.  He is kinda big and maybe not quite fast enough for a corner, and we are loaded at safety.  I honestly think he could be in the running for the backup qb spot, as Voss is not ready and Severino does not fit the offense.

  4. The truth is that PJ was a subpar qb, but no one tried harder.  I criticized him many times for his play, as is the right of a fan to do when the team is faring poorly, but now that his career is over we should recognize the effort and class that he has shown these last five years, as well as the role that he has played in Grothe's development.
