They always come up with goofy stuff.  Taggart should actually be mentoned more, because he will nearly always be mentioned when Quinton is, but the opposite is less likely to happen - Quinton being mentioned during Oregon games...

How good is Oregons QB?  I could see them mentioning that T misses having an established starting quarterback like Q.

Here is my take on the schedule for this year

@ San Jose State - a tougher game than many expect. We are on the road and SJS got better as the season went on last year. This is also the first game under a new coaching scheme so there is going to be some issues. I think we win this one but closer than expected.

Didn't San Jose State lose their top QB, RB, and WR from last year? Would cancel out your position.

In another thread I said there would be one loss. But looking at the schedule all laid out (although you are missing the second bye week after ECU), I really like our chances at running the table. Perhaps if there is a loss, the only one I see would be against Houston.

Exactly what happened to me.  Agree.

Pretty excited.  I don't see how we will be better on offense this year but it will be fun to watch us try.  I am old enough to remember when we were a defensive team.  Hopefully we will become more balanced.

Balance would be nice.  I'm in the same boat.  While I think our offense will be very good, I cannot believe it will be better, regardless of playmakers.  I also think our D will be better, how much is TBD.

I also did a stint at Winn-Dixie in high school.  I made $4.25 an hour when I started.  They're not going to fire a kid making minimum wage (at the time, or close to it) for ordering too much of a product they would sell anyway.

Same here, $4.25/hour in 1994.  I was permitted to work up to 16 hours per week until I turned 16.  Ahhhhhh the memories of that place.

We will see how many Gators are dumb enough to think they are actually getting a bargain. They can buy a single game ticket to Northern Colorado or UAB for $30, so they would essentially be paying $5 (UAB) or $10 (N. CO) for a restaurant.com $25 "gift card" which is just a discount off of a $50 or more purchase at a participating restaurant. Those discount vouchers are usually only $5 anyway, so they are actually paying more for the Northern Colorado game than they would buying the two items separately. The UAB game is a slight deal, as the tickets alone are $50 for that game, so it is like getting the gift card for free. Kudos to the Gators for suckering their fans into thinking they are actually getting a deal.

It reminds me of when I was in high school and was front-end manager at Winn-Dixie. Whenever we needed to get rid of items I would make a display, slap a bright orange "Sale" sticker on the items, but I would not lower the price. The stuff was usually gone within hours. The public can easily be fooled into thinking that they are getting a deal.

Reminds me of my days at Winn Dixie.   As a 16 year old stocker, I was in charge of ordering for the soda isle.  I didn't realize that the WD brand soda, Chex, came by the palette.  So when I ordered 18 cases for the week, 18 palettes arrived.

Needless to say WD ran a Chex sale for about 2 months.  The display was wild......because they had so much product to work with.
