    More offseason filler: How do you tailgate?

    Well we do it as a big family..the parents...all my friends...I think the biggest tail gate was like 15 of us.  Everyone brings something but my Mom loves to cook so she makes a lot.  Homemade salsa, dip for veggies, homemade stuffed jalapenos, then we either do hot dogs and hambergers, or steak sandwiches.  And usually mom has made some sort of dessert..Texas Sheetcake or Apple Pie Squares (family favorite).  

    As far as drinks, we have Bud Light and usually my best friend brings at least 1 bottle of liquor..either Big Apple or Bacardi Superior!

    We do a radio and fight over the station and we scream at people wearing the other teams gear!  Our newest line last year was "Show Us Your Bulls!"  Our best tailgate by far was for the WVU game!! We had a blast!

    Just wanted to let you know that my wife (a UF grad) is an elementary school principal and says that USF education graduates are the best prepared of all new teacher applicants she hires.  

    Her professional ranking based on performance:

    1. USF

    2. UF

    25.  FSU  (she very unimpressed with FSU COE grads in recent years)

    where is she a principal and does she want a really good intermediate elementary teacher? haha!

    Graduating students can buy a "Grad Pack" for $20 that includes some cool USF stuff as well as their first year's membership in the Alumni Association... (http://www.usfalumni.net/newGrad.htm).

    Also, if you are attending the graduation, the USF Alumni Association will once again feature the "Get It Together Tent"... this is where alumni volunteers help people with their cap and gown (and hoods for grad students and sashes for honor students)...

    Congrats on graduating!!

    We did all that...they got rid of the pen and the license plate.  I really want like a nice sweatshirt, a good license plate, and a couple other little things.  

    And thanks for the Congrats. I don't think my family would believe me if I didn't walk!!  But at  least Education is at 2 PM!

    Winter Guard International....USF Takes the Bronze

    I know there are probably people on here that think this isn't a big feat...but this is huge for a 4th year program to place in the top three.  Those stduents worked so hard for this in the last 4 years and I have watched this program blossom from just an idea to a WORLD known program.  I know on the message it said national championships but this is an international event, thats what its call Winter Guard International (WGI) or the Sport of the Arts!  

    And everyone got to see a little part of our university this weekend and I couldn't be prouder of people that I call my friends.

    Congratulations USF Winterguard!  Keep up the hard work and dedication you all have shown.  I <3 you!
