Know of anything in Bradenton/Sarasota or Lee County??? Still waiting for the alumni people of Lee County to contact me.

  3. twillybull how drunk were you when you wrote this :-?

    Completely sober unfortunately.  >:(

I'm not saying they sounded bad, hell they sounded great at halftime and before the game... but during the game, you cannot hear them, unless you're in the direct line of fire.  Even then the volume wasn't there.

When I walked up to the North Endzone, I could hear the FIU band, maybe not loud, but clear.  The fact is those kids played LOUD!

From the south side, you CANNOT hear our band... not even close.   You can kinda hear them up around the 25-30 yard line (west side of the field).  What's gonna happen when the stadium starts to fill up and the crowd noise picks up?

If it's a positioning thing, then they need to be moved.  Maybe even pump them over the PA system...  but for the love of the college football gods, TURN UP THE VOLUME!!!

I sit in the south endzone and I can hear them...its not that loud but I understand from being a member for 5 years that they can't project thier sound like that.  You heard FIU like crazy because you were sitting right there...go sit next to HOT...you'll have a headache on the way home...

where do I write to about HOT being moved? even back into the students would be better...

  4. Where were you? What were you doing?  How did you react?

I was in class in the Andros Building...my cell phone kept going off and it was everyone but my father...I thought he was dead...I called my brother and he told me...I ran into class didn't even say a word just turned on this old old old tv in the room and about 2 min later the 2nd plane hit...we all thought it was a replay...after that they told us to go back to our dorms...I remember running back to Holly C and sitting on my bed watching tv the rest of the day until I was so emotionally drained I fell asleep....

  5. I sit on the opposite side of the bands almost exactly between them. HOT was MUCH louder than the FIU band and at half there was no comparison, HOT was bigger, louder and much tighter sounding then FIU. I enjoyed listening to both but FIU was not in the same class at the HOT.

Of course my wife was going nuts with the mismatched cargo pants and shoes lol

haha we were yelling at them couldn't you even picked 1 color pant and 1 color shoe???  It was throwing us all off.... ;D

  6. I'm begining to think I move to the wrong place...any one with information other than the people email on the website about the Lee County chapter...because no one will respond to me...or should I join in St. Pete?

Try getting in touch with Merrell Dickey at (813) 974-8842 or at mdickey@admin.usf.edu.

I did he said he passed my name along...and still nothing...its been about 2 weeks now....

  7. come one now not everyone from ohio is a hillbilly

Being from Ohio doesn't make anyone a hillbilly..just the ones who deside to stay ;D...just poking fun

I guess thats why I chose USF over Bowling Green State U

    A. Anyone from Florida calling someone from Ohio a hillbilly is a freakin' joke. I lived in the most redneckian of redneck areas in Ohio, and yet people there are far more advanced than nearly everyone I have met since moving here two years ago.

    B. BGSU is a solid school. I'd probably say it's a better school than USF. Nightlife leaves a bit less to offer... a lot less.

Trust me..my entire high school went to BGSU or Toledo...I chose USF...and it was the best decision of my life! But I know you are OU..and I never considered it at all...
