  1. 2-4 four stars when he has a full class is probably a good target.  Doubt any 5 stars come until we get the call up to the P5 and that would likely still be rare.  I'd think his time at Louisville would be a fair model.

    At Louisville (per 247)

    - 2 in 2010, ranked 44

    - 4 in 2011, ranked 27

    - 3 in 2012, ranked 45

    - 3 in 2013, ranked 37

according to their rankings zero 5 stars

  2. He should go if he gets a 3rd round grade or better.  No guarantee after 3, might as well come back and try to improve.  If he gets to a 2 he made money.  If he drops a bit he'll make slightly less, but have same chance to make the team since he would not have a guaranteed contract.

Also time for every Bulls fan on this board not a member of the Bulls Club to become one. There is no excuse. If you can't afford the $100, which I think you can stretch out the payments on, you shouldn't be wasting your time here and should instead be looking for a job ..... or a 2nd or 3rd one.

This x a million .... and buy Bowl tix and go.

He has a lot of work to do and so far a lot of his moves have turned up like ****. A lot of USF gave Woolard grief but you can't deny that he made good hires in Heath & Taggart. And you can't deny that he was able to get better games on the schedule

To be fare when Doug made the hires we were still technically BCS.

  5. We are better than when he started here, which is a positive.  I do feel that, for any deficiencies he had as a coach, his willingness to relook and adapt is a big plus for him and his future outlook.

The last crucial hire we had after Leavitt was crucial and we swung and missed with Holtz.   He won 9 games (I think) with Leavitts team and it all went down hill after that and although that wasn't everything the sparkle was gone when realignment hit.

I still believe realignment will come again and we need to be positioned for success.

I'm sorry, and no offense, but I just cant buy that. You've been back for games 6-21 times but haven't had the time to run out to the campus but maybe twice? That's not a time thing, it's a want to thing ........ This is one of the arguments for the ocs that has never held much water with me.

Why would I lie? It is truth when you have zero family in town.  You come for the game and leave.  When I lived in Tampa, I was on campus games and events often.  Local alumni have more opportunity.  I'm  it going to fly into see a bookstore, sorry that's dumb.

What brings me back to campus now that I'm out of state?  A bookstore or a new building? I dontate, I meet with alumni locally, fly to both home and road games every year.  I honestly have no need to go to campus?  I was in both Memphis and Philly for games this year and made it to Tampa for FSU and Navy games.  I love the school and the teams.

I would prefer an OCS, but that doesn't stop me from going to games or donating.  However, you can't argue it does allow you to bring out of town Alumni back for functions.

Well, I graduated back in '94 and have made a ton of trips back to USF....for additional classes, seminars, guest speakers, job fairs, a visit to the bookstore, alumni association meetings and functions, basketball games, baseball games, football spring games. Not overly difficult.

Perhaps not as "Bazinga" as one would believe. Unless, of course, your sole attachment to the alma mater is a football game. Surely that's not the case? :FIREdevil:

Do you live in Florida?  I live out of state and will admit I've gone to campus maybe once or twice in 6-7 years, but get to 1-3 games each year.  My attachment is to USF, but for out of towners it's a time crunch most of the time you fly in and with no family in town it's friends and the game.

  8. Ok I'll bite.  Before I start, I've always been a proponent of an OCS, and will always be.  I think that increases student attendance during winning seasons by 20-30% if not more compared to where we are now.  However for this convo I'll assume we are talking about 2017:

    1. ) with the schedule we have, and although we have very little control, start working with conference and tv to schedule night games.  While I understand big programs play day games, if the AAC thinks we can be a flagship, they can help.

2.) Youth league and high school outreach.  We need to build fans, can't just expect them to show up.

3.) I'll get burned for this, but I think we have always done a poor job accommodating the Greek population.  Need to make the atmosphere more "party" outside to get them to the game.

4.) post game concerts - they cost money but always draw crowds.  This is busch league, but all middle market baseball teams do this to draw crowds.

5.)  Make student parking free or appear free (include in fees or have lot sponsors).

6.) Build some sort of partnership with local pro teams - discounts, packages, etc.  Also, include more marketing.

7.) social media for athletics is on point, but followers lag.  This needs to be a focus of off-season.

8.) They need begin a campaign regarding being tampas team.  Start now, build off bay made.  Give packages to local business owners to bring clients, friends, family. Extend to the school systems and city employees.  This needs to start yesterday.

I can do this all day, but I get paid to do this for a leaving and need to get back to work.
