  1. A true Bulls bar should be set up by a true Bulls fan, not by some random entrepreneur who sees that we have over 40k in a student base and thinks there is a market for it.

That goes for all official school bars too!

If everyone on this board all sat together in a meeting to create the ultimate Bulls sports bar, i'd bet dollars to donuts it would be very succesfull, even if it was a little farther from the Bull Ring.

  2. We always struggle at the beginning of the season, this being said, two points:

1.) Auburn will be even more of a true test of where this team stands, and where it will head at the end of the 2007 schedule.

2.) We should be able to beat the tinmen handily, as everyone will already be in midseason form. This will be a good test of how we really compare to UCF.

Those are just my two observations, everything else about the schedule looks great. I'm excited, GO BULLS!!

  3. Dreamland is famous for great BBQ, apparently.  It's endorsed by Greg Auman of the St. Pete Times, so it's good enough for me!   ;)

We're amassing a crew for a Dreamland BBQ get-together Friday night.  Have a room reserved that can hold up to 150 people.

What time is that going to be again?? I'll be bringing my crew for sure!

  4. I don't know if this has been addressed in another thread, but is the AD coordinating an effort to donate tickets again? I'm interested in buying 5 more on top of the 10 i'm already going to use just for it to count against our allotment. We should all push for everyone to do this, especially because the tickets are so cheap. Just buy one more ticket and donate it, not only are you helping USF's recognition as a potentially good bowl traveling team, but you're also giving tickets to a charity of some sort. Ok, stepping off the soap box now...

  5. Offense B+

    Defense B-

    Special Teams C-

    Coaching D+

In my opinion, the defense has underachieved this year and the offense has overachieved. The only bright spot on special teams is Ean Randolph (even if most of his returns have been called back). And of course coaching has sucked the big one. I don't have a problem with Leavitt, but he needs to bring in better offensive minds, maybe someone in I-AA on the up and up so it wouldn't cost a pretty penny and also pick up a decent QB coach to groom Grothe's raw talent.

  6. Fellow Bull fans let us not forget that the offense was retooled in the off season to best utilize the talents of C. Hill.  The coaching staff visited several schools to study their offenses to create that offense for Hill.  MG is playing in a system that had to be put together in a short time to maximize his talents, therefore, next year, the staff will have more time to create an offense that suits MG and allow for MG himself to study his mistakes and become stronger.  It is my opinion, that MG will have the best stats a Bulls QB has ever had at USF in the next three years.  This year Bull fans have to remember with a freshman QB there are going to be some highs and some lows and that we just need to enjoy the ride, because its only going to get better.

Absolutely 100% wrong. We've had the same offense/offensive playcallying since the Marquel Blackwell days, it's just that they have finally found a QB that can fill Marquel's shoes. We have a system that does not adapt to the players' style playing in it, but rather it expects the players to step up and be what the system calls for. This, in my opinion, is our biggest problem. We just don't have coaches with the experience/knowledge to adjust certain aspects of a system to suit the players they have.
