I had a lot lined up on Woodlawn but the lot is under contract and the new owner isn't going to park cars.  The lot off Heiter sounds like the same block I was going to park in.  Unfortunately when planning a tailgate you gotta have the lot prearranged or you'll have a disaster.  Looks like I'll head to Lot 9 if I can't find something better.  I gotta get this squared away in a few days before I send out the invoices.

Across the street it appears HCC is available too.  Is that parking in the paved lots or do they put you on the lawn?  Also, just ports-potties or do you have access to indoor bathrooms?

    Thanks in advance....TM

According to the info we got with the season tix info, Lot 9 is overflow parking only now and assume y'all will get there in plenty of time. For the South side of the stadium on property, you've got 7P and 8. Not sure of traffic flow coming out of 7P but coming out of 8 will definitely be heading South. I don't think cash pricing has come out yet for this season but most it should be would be $20.

I see Lot 7 on the map...what is Lot 7P?  Is that the permit area of 7?  As I remembered they had Lot 7 sectioned between permit and open parking in '06.

Stupid to raise parking 33% in one year for a team struggling.

  2.

Why not Lot 4?  At five hours before kickoff there's plenty of room, right next to the official Bulls tailgate and very short walk to the gate.

That was all before last season though.  With some health issues I didn't make any games last season so I'm not sure that all holds true.

The official Bulls tailgate is on the south side of the stadium .... always has been.

IIRC Lot 4 has some big tailgate...is it the student one?

  3. Thanks Jim...for the info on HCC

Well the beauty of my tailgate...I'll be flying a distinct flag and everyone should have my cell phone.  You are welcomed to come by and have a beer and coney on me.

I thought about Lot 4...but being visiting fans I wondered if we would get hassled by the students.  Is Lot 4 pretty easy to get out and head south to Pinellas County?  Most of us are staying over on the beaches.

    Hi Everyone,

We got ticket information from Athletics today. You can buy tickets for UMD/Navy through the host schools, not USF.

Maryland – Single game tickets will be available beginning July 29. You may contact Maryland’s ticket office at 301-304-7070

Navy – Single game are currently available by calling 1-800-US4-NAVY

The NYC and Philadelphia alumni chapters are coming down as well, so it should be a good group.

Please let me know if you have any questions or need anything else.

I bought a group of tix for MD 2 years ago...IIRC they start at 15-20 tickets.  My Cuse group had around 125.  The pricing is about 40% off.  You can actually buy them before you can buy individual tickets.  i really recommend someone buy the minimum for your USF fans here.  Then set up a tailgate.  It really shouldn't be too hard to peddle 15-20 tix especially at a healthy discount.  Great way for Bulls fans to meet each other.

One word of advice...spend the extra and get seating down low...the upper deck addition is hideously steep.

  6. Quizno's best sub was the Chicken Carbonara.  Hands down.  A solid sub, but like you said slick, their business plan sucked.  There's one in Duluth - a little bit of a drive but may be worth it for the Carbonara.

Firehouse is fantastic, but pricey, and their subs have shrunk over the years.

For the money, the best options out there, IMO are Jersey Mikes, Jimmy Johns and Publix (not in that order).

Firehouse...bring your receipt back with a 5 digit number for the survey code and get a free drink...you can do the survey if you want but any 5 digit number will work.

For those making flight arrangements, US Airways has Friday-Sunday non-stops to DC for $169 (incl. tax).

Southwest non-stops to BWI are $170.

Not sure if  Tampa is as good, but I got under $100 to DC (DCA) the Wed prior, and under $100 back v American.

Got a 4.5 star hotel in DC on Priceline for $165/night.  Gonna be a great weekend.

Good airport to fly into...IAD sucks.  BWI is the closest for those staying in Annapolis.  This is a great roadtrip...and your fans won't be pelted with beer like at UConn.

  8. Bradshaw's not highly rated, FWIW.  But it would have been nice to get QB Culpepper. It sux seeing good QBs leave the area.  I get it for big time programs, but Cuse is a middle/lower pack ACC team.

Well there are only 5 Big Time FB schools in FL...so not all of them will stay.  Culpepper went due to the new offense Cuse is installing plays to his strengths.

  9. Cuse fan here...if one of you will take lead...this is a great way to go to a road game

You call the away team and ask for group sales.  For instance FSU will sell you 20 tix for $30 each.  50 tix for $25 each...breakeven point is 43 tix.

This year I'm bringing 80-100 or so to USF and Louisville.  About 25-50 to FSU.  UVA actually set up a special link for us with a discount of $25. I'm expecting 150 there.  NCSt will be about the same.

Someone who isn't afraid to front some cash...start a link asking for tix requests. Start small...maybe go for 30-40 tix.  Organize a road tailgate.  I use Payment by PayPal.  Add $5-10 to cover mailing and tailgate food/beer...it has always worked for me.  Another benefit is you control those seats so you can adjust groups if someone bails or a fan wants to add an extra person late.

Finally, this is a great way for forum posters to meet each other...anyone want more advice and tips...send me a private message here.

  10. Hey guys...got back a few days ago.  Anyways, I wish I remembered to check this thread after I got into the TB Area.  I couldn't find Beef O'Brady's...I even called the number and got no answer.  I'll check out Tradewinds next visit to see if it is still in business.  It all worked out in the end.  I stopped at PJ's Seafood Restaurant in downtown St. Pete Beach and they put the game on for me and my wife was happier to eat Seafood than average Sports Bar food.  It was also close enough to drive my wife back to our house in Gulfport at halftime...I then headed to the waterfront (Gulfport) and actually ran into a few Cuse fans and one absolutely trashed UConn fan and watched the game at Maggie's with them.  Thanks for the suggestions and I will check them out in the future.  Cheers TM
