  1. that may be true. But the scouts also see those numbers and it may scare them off

Several post later and you all admit I'm right.  I wasn't even trying to start anything, I was just being honest. I didn't list NC State because I did state rarely, ohh observative one.  Sorry Trip NFL teams don't consider 70 yards against good teams, not to shabby.  Guys who can't rush for 100 yards in college, don't all of sudden start rushing for 100 yds when they turn pro.

  2. I have seen both polls and their seems to be a little bias on this site to one particular player.  I take that back you all seem to be infatuated with Grothe, though the poll on your other site has CHILL receiving almost 50% of the total votes.  I find it odd that you all would prefer Grothe over the more talend Hill who was also picked as the #1 QB versus Grothe being the #3 going into spring.  Even before spring you all were in love with Grothe.  What gives?

  3. That is surprising.  It seems like every other non conference stadium sells.  I'm pretty sure the Metrodome sells it for Minnesota, and Miami sells it at the OB.  Does the Citrus Bowl sell for UCF?

I don't think any on campus football stadium sells beer, and as far as I know, Rutgers is an on campus facility.

UCF does sell at the Citrus Bowl, but won't at the stadium being built on campus.  I'm pretty sure it's the schools call considering UCF has a sports bar on campus.

  4. Former Lakewood star Pat Carter, the Georgia Tech transfer who was supposed to start anew this fall at South Florida, then at Florida, says he has found a home.

Carter was scheduled to take a flight today to Louisville, start classes Monday, pick up a football scholarship in January and begin competing as a receiver next fall.

"I'm getting the vibe that they really want me there," said Carter, who will have two years of eligibility after sitting out this season.

Carter said he initially chose USF because he wanted to play quarterback, but changed his mind after seeing the way coach Jim Leavitt felt about the six quarterbacks already on campus.

"I don't feel too confident in their quarterbacks, but it seemed like coach was content with his players," said Carter. "He said he only wants players who want to be there, and I never felt 100 percent sure I wanted to be there."

Carter won't be able to travel with Louisville when the Cardinals play at Raymond James Stadium on Sept. 24, but he'll be a senior when Louisville returns in 2007.

  5. If you guys think your qb play is bad now, try starting a true freshman.  High school defenses are nothing compared to West Virginia and Rutgers.  Qb's have to be able to make reads quickly and audible, and also know what to audible.  That's not even factoring in the speed in which everything happens.  Throw in the fact the CHill isn't used to having 50,000 people screaming at him.  He'd get creamed.  Stick with PJ.  He needs to work on his passing though.  Every defense you face this season will simply trying to shut down the run and make him pass.
