  2. No one should be out of the mix... Comeptition should decide. NAM37
  3. Prolly true... and that's the sadest part of it. He (or someother UF-pine riding stud from last year) could come here and be showcased for 4 years on national TV. Instead they will go to a "powerhouse" school and sit on some wood. What is better for your (NFL) career. To go to a "power" school and QB for 1 or 2 years, or go to a "2nd-tier" school and start for 3-4 years? NAM37
  4. Seats are already free to students... ... THAT's who should be in the empty seats. What we need is a way to get the Greeks (frats/chicks) to WANT to come to the games. NAM37
  5. Luckily, we are in Florida. That is our saving Grace. Unluckily, we looked like crap on national TV this year. NAM37
  6. >> Whoever emerges at quarterback could find >> the return of WRs Darren Haliburton and >> Brian Fisher. Both players, dismissed from >> the team for separate legal issues, are in >> the process of returning this spring.  WHAT?? Is this true?? NAM37
  7. YEAH! I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that if you beat ECU you get an automattic invite to the NIT. : NAM37

  9. Pretty darn respectable if you ask me.... Hopefully we'll beat more than just UCF.. hehe NAM37
  10. Exactly! The OC might not have the best scheme in the NCAA, but if it is executed properly it would be effective (and fun to watch I might add). NAM37
  11. If we had a QB who could execute the plays, it wouldn't seem quite as bad... NAM37
  12. Next year I expect to get spanked many... many.. times. NAM37
  13. Actually, by that logic the NFL would need to go belly up and all Bucs season ticket holders would have to be given free USF seats. Actually, now that I think about it... why NOT give all lower bowl Bucs season tickets FREE bulls tickets (in the upper bowl). That might fill RJS up and make some fans! And we would still make consession (beer) money. NAM37
  14. Anyone know why we seem to get more press outta Lakeland than from Tampa or St Pete?? NAM37
  15. I'm not sure how he got those specific amounts, but it generally is dependent on the amount of bandwidth (hits/traffic) used. NAM37
  16. Velcrogrip, Those numbers look pretty real excect for POSSIBLY the hosting cost. I don't know which host you guys are currently using, but most hosts (assuming they are Linux/apache/php based, which is the norm these days) provide the use of atleast 1 MySQL database for free in the normal monthly free. So you could probably use the same host you currently do. If you are self hosted setting up MySQL (which is free) is pretty simple on either Windows or Linux. NAM37
  17. I will say that I missed BOTH of the last two home games. I haven't missed 2 home games in a row since the start of USF football. So, why did I miss them? Because of holiday plans on Saturday's around Thanksgiving and into December. I even gave away 2 tickets to the ALT/Bucs game. Would I have gone to the games if it was possible? Yes. Would I have expected them to WIN the games? No. NAM37
  18. Actually... no. I know the board is not database driven. I know all the technicals. In the past I have convert text based forums to MySQL based ones a couple of times (to both PHPBB2 and IPB). Also, IPB for a small payment will convert your entire forum for you. They also offer good support. I currently use IPB for a large project (the site is www.certtalk.com and we are currently opening the site to the public after months of development) and it is very good software. As I said before, I would have no problem helping in the conversion. It is VERY doable. NAM37
  19. Personally, I would consider a software upgrade. I would consider a MySQL based forum software as they generally are more robust. The boards could be moved over as is, with very little lose of functionality. I've set up several of them if you'd like some help. NAM37
