  1. It has nothing to do with us being "underfunded" and it definitely doesn't happen to "every team." MAC schools hardly ever lose players due to nonqualification, mainly because most MAC schools won't accept as students players that close to the borderline, anyway. The NCAA requirements are not that difficult -- we ask players to score at the 25th percentile of all high school students.

  2. what is really weird about the mall, is that it down right kills any other establishment on that side of fowler avenue.  It is just a weird dichotomy.  That BullPen joint isn't really picking up steam, and the other stores along that way struggle as well.

The UA Hangout is across the street from the mall and is a money factory.

Anyway, the mall isn't going anywhere, it's just being sold. If you read the article, it explains that the mall makes an average amount of money compared with other mall in the country, so it's certainly not on any kind of decline. Buying out the mall would mean buying out all its tenants, which would be an exorbitant amount of money.

  3. I do think that they should have a degree in athletics for athletes that are looking at turning pro.

...except only .5% of Division I scholarship athletes have a chance of playing a sport professionally. (That's including sports that play semi-pro, like softball or lacrosse.) Athletes who feel they may play their sport professionally are welcome to major in finance so as to educate themselves in a way to prolong their income from the average professional athletic career of _three_years.

Treating athletes like future pros upon their arrival at a university would create an entire generation of Marcus Vicks.

  4. The politicians in Tallahassee like to keep the population so dumb that they rubber stamp the same crooks back in office every election.

I want so desperately to not believe this, but I'm consistently shown that it's true. It's one of the reasons I want to get involved and overhaul education in this state in a major way.

  5. Our baseball stadium is easily the worst in Florida at the Division 1 level.

Uh... that's going a bit far. It's certainly not up to the standards of our Big East Brethren, that's for sure. But some schools... BCC comes to mind... don't even have their own baseball stadium, if I am remembering correctly.
