  1. Lower the drinking age already. I've been drinking legally and responsibly since I was 18yrs old. When I turned 18 I didn't go on a drinking binge because it was no big deal.  This age minimum is the most ridiculous thing ever. Yeah, there are some kids that can't handle liquor at 18 just like they are some adults that can't handle it at 40. Stats show that 20K lives have been saved since the limit was increase, well no sh!t, make alcohol illegal altogether and even more lives would be saved.

  2. So his base salary is 200K + 50K for TV + 4,200 for a country club membership + 3k or more for season tickets + a few thousand if Mattis gets some good grades + zero dollars for all our post season appearances.

My math gets me to somewhere around 500K to send this guy on the next Jet Blue flight out of Tampa.

Wait, so does this mean that you want Mac fired? I couldn't tell from your previous 300 posts on the same subject. I don't know why some people think it is hysterical to annoy people on message boards. There are always people that giggle and get excited everytime they post something that they know is going to annoy others.  D.S. are not the only ones that think Mac shouldn't be back, but you are indeed the only ones that can single handedly squeeze the fun out of this board.  Everytime you have a Mac post you are not really posting some late breaking news some of us didn't know already. I don't need your "brilliant" posts to know that our team is not that good, or that after so many years we should be doing better.

  3. FYI to KL, the NCAA recommended penalty for a failed second drug test is the lesser two game suspension.  Their research has found that levying the higher penalty (50%) would result in a much higher rate of relapse, partially due to the depressing effect that such a long probation brings.  They found by reducing the penalty to two games, the rate of relapse into bad behaviour is cut by over half.

Think about what a two game suspension does to the kid's overall stats... that's a big hit for a kid jockeying for position in the NFL, (arguably the goal of most Div-I BCS football players).  A 50% suspension in reality takes the kid completely out of contention for a post-collegiate career.

Taking away a kid's goals / motivation does not help whatsoever in the rehabilitation process.

That was explained to KL in like 5 different threads but he won't address that argument. A month from now he will start another thread about the incident conveniently leaving out the above info.
