  1. Q.

I read Ron Morris regularly, and agree 100% with all of his criticism of Lou Holtz. I am a USC fan and a sports enthusist. I played sports in high school, but never played on a team that seriously competed for a championship. I have friends who played on, or coached championship teams at the high school and college level. They tell me I do not have a clue. This offends me. Since Ron and I see eye to eye on Lou, I am curious to know something. Did Ron ever play on a team that seriously competed for a championship ?

Calhoun, You'll have to ask Ron that. His email is rmorris@thestate.com.

Joe, I feel vindicated about Holtz "new attitude" with Ron Morris column today. I just hope you jump on board with the understanding that what comes out of a leader's mouth has implications for the sheep. If we're going to win, he needs to plant positive seeds.

Jay, As I've written many times on this board, people are going to agree and disagree with Ron's opinions.

Joe: Do you think Ron Morris's 3/30 column will make life easier for reporters covering SC football? Does The State even HAVE a sports editor? Someone needs to be in charge, Morris is single-handedly undoing all the good work you have done providing good indepth coverage of the football team for the fans

Charles, My job is to report the news. Ron's is to formulate opinions on those news topics. I would hope that readers would be able to make the distinguish.

Ron Morris is much more objective in his columns.  He tends to tick off alot of the Gamecock faithful

  2. My big questions are, 1. Do they have enough drinks for 90,000 people and 2. Do they have enough bathrooms for 90,000 people, unlike the dump of all dumps in Birmingham.  What a disaster at Bama last year.  I have never seen a stadium run out of drinks, and the bathroom lines were even longer then the concession stand lines.  I will never return to Birm.  for any reason.

I've never heard of any of those problems at Williams-Brice.

  3. Hell no!!  If you think about it there's more inclusion than that.  Almost every team is in their respective conference tournaments.  If you win that tourny, you go to the NCAAs.  So with that in mind, just about every team has a chance to win the National Championship.  By the way, your math is a good as your typing.  Doubling 64 would be 128 not 114.
