I am going home for my birthday this weekend, but I will definately head over there and say hi at the Providence game.  Do you guys go to the baseball games?

yes, we go to baseball games as well, not much of an atmosphere over there, we need some real loud people there to help make it loud.  economics_nerd, you were to the left of me, i remember turning around and seeing that chant being started a few times.  i'm the kid with the sleeveless bullies shirt, whos always going nuts on the big screen, its really not hard to miss me.  and no TexanMark, not if the syracuse fan was provoking first.

you do realize that parking for the softball game would have absolutely no effect on parking for the basketball game?  the only thing that will affect parking for the basketball game is night classes and intramural basketball

why not reward a coach who constantly wins and sees the post season every year, with more money?  even if it isn't significantly greater, i think with the job Jose has done that he deserves a little more money.  don't let your dislike for womens basketball cloud your judgement, if you win you should get rewarded, bottomline.

flsportsfan83, you have got to be the dumbest kid around, its hilarious how you take something and spin it so that it helps to prove your point.  no coach will comment on another coaching job during a season.  use your head a little bit.

if you noticed over the past two home games, the crowds have been bigger, nearly all of the lower level was filled for both games.  the support will come over time, as winning does cure everything.  and marketing is getting better, i see the signs around campus that advertise both the mens and womens games, they also put up flyers in different areas of campus to support the womens team.  If Jose wants to win a national championship i feel that the best way for him to get there is through USF.  and i would be more than thrilled to take your money flsportsfan83, when you are proved wrong and he is still our coach next season

they could come after him, but i don't think he leaves, he loves this program too much, and he helped build it up from the ground, no way is he going to leave it just when it has turned the corner.

Jose is not going anyhwhere, he loves this program and the last two games have seen a big increase in attendance.  he will be back next year.

its true, he would year in and year out lose in the first round of the tourny, with all the talent he had there, that to me is underachieving.

huggins wasn't going to come here as we didn't have a job opening, and we don't hire people with his rap sheet.  i'm proud of our school for not hiring him.

Was my first ladies' game and had a great time .... 2nd half anyway. When JD was taking fouls shot towards the latter part of the game they showed her stats and she was shooting 6% from the field.    Amazing they came back and made a game of it with that.

BTW, the Lady Panthers had Wannstedt's nose tackle at center. She was definitely a force until fouling out...

lol, we had a sign that said twinkie just for #45 the big girl, we also started chanting "eat a salad", also number 14 has a dog named lola, it came in handy tonight.  great atmosphere for a womens game here, we need to keep up the support and the enthusiasm during the entire game.  

something good to look at is Zaronn Cann played today, i don't know how many minutes he played, but he is listed as going 0-1 for field goals and 0-1 from the 3-point arc.  at least its another body we have to use.

Why wouldn't they sell beer? $1 or otherwise... I thought sports and beer went hand in hand!

I didn't attend the game tonight, but I did drive by about 5 minutes before the game started and it looked like a lot of people were there. Any estimates on attendance?

The announced crowd was 900+, but they stopped giving out tickets after the 3rd or 4th inning. I got there late and they just let us walk in.

As for tomorrow, I plan on going to the baseball game for 30-45 minutes then heading over to watch the womens B-ball game.

students tonight were told to just walk in, which means we weren't counted in the total number of people there.  i won't be there tomorrow, as the womens basketball team plays and its a revenge game for them.

i left in the beginning of the 6th, it was 8-0, rizzo i didn't see you, where were you sitting?

they have mechandise for sell at the games as well as food and beverages.  your post doesn't make sense StandingBull.  one reason they might be doing this for this game, is that it falls on Valentines Day.

what are we paying this guys?  i haven't seen anything about this.  

we were told we were allowed to storm the court, but had to wait till after the notre dame team left, than the team came over and sang the alma mater, and started walking off as the fans got onto the court.  the team didn't even celebrate with us.

USF is not buying the university mall, it costs too much money, and it is sold in 6 parts, each part costs something like $100 million.  so there is no way USF is buying that lot.

Again, in risk of furthering this meaningless discussion, USF is extremely capable of buying the mall if the structuring and assignment is done in the proper manner.  USF's borrowing capacity is enormous, and one could see USF buying the mall (which could be put under contract then paid for in parcels which would be released as available to pertinent parties) and immediately parceling the site and selling large chucks to Moffitt, and Tampa General both of which have an extreme desire to buy land in the immediate vicinity and the county, city, and USF all have a fiscal need to insure those institutions can receive the necessary land to grow near campus.  

I think to many of you are taking light of the need for land to further the growth of the medical and physical components that make USF a powerful research center.  Remember we rent the land that Moffitt, the school, and all the other clinics that occupy USF.  If USF doesn't buy said Mall, they could also risk one of those institutions buying it for themselves and vacating USF.  If done right, it would be a winfall for USF.

ummm...this was told to me tonight by somebody we all look up to in the usf admin, but i won't say who it is on here.
