  1. What I saw sitting behind the DBs at the game was none of them cared. They all just sat there. The coach was constantly drawing on the board and not one even paid attention. I never saw a coach speak to them only diagraming non stop and everyone staring off. No one seemed to care. The only passion I saw was when Hansford came over and called them out. None of them gave a crap then either.

Since you're on this board, just ask for a STM that will not be using their free tickets for the game and they can transfer the tickets to you.  It's all general admission so seat locations are not an issue.  Wish I could be there.

    GO BULLS!

I am going and looking for 5 tickets for myself, wife and 3,4 & 7 year old kids. After a few days stuck in a hotel room after evacuating my kids have a lot of cheering energy to expend win or lose! If anyone has tickets they are giving away I’d appreciate it! Also when are they going to let us buy tickets?

  3. Two thoughts on all of this realignment:

    1. is there potential for antitrust lawsuits as college football consolidates into fewer big time conferences?

    2. Can USF afford to build new facilities (stadium, etc,) if they get left behind? Are we better planning everything as shovel ready for if we get called up? Or is it we can’t afford not to? Factoring in inflation, what kind of tv contract can we expect in a watered down AAC?

  4. I will be there. Staying closer to DC as we are making a family vacation out of the trip. I will most likely have an extra ticket in the USF section and an extra ticket for a tour of Annapolis including the Naval Academy (tour runs 10:30am - 12:45pm) if anyone is interested. I'll know by Tuesday night.

Heck yeah! The more USF going the better.  Not sure how much the tour cost is and what time. Hotels were around 300 to 400 a night in Annapolis except for the Crown Plaza which was around 180 a night.

My wife, kids and I are doing the Annapolis tour which includes the Naval Academy. It runs from 10:30am - 12:45pm.

If slumming is all the rage and is successful I would love to hear some of the other success stories of DII coaches with no higher level coaching experience  going straight into FBS coordinator jobs and the average success rate.

These may be more one off successes but two high school head coaches to FBS OCs are Chad Morris (became Tulsa OC, now HC at Arkansas) and Gus Malzahn (Arkansas OC, now HC at Auburn).
