Per Brett McMurphy in the Tampa Tribune:
RECORD CROWD: More than 20,000 tickets have been sold for Saturday's game with Florida A&M, and USF officials are expecting a record crowd of at least 50,000. This will be the first USF game in Raymond James Stadium that the upper deck will be open.
The 20,000 figure does not include student tickets or projected walk-up sales. To handle the crowd, additional ticket booths will be added on the northeast side of Raymond James Stadium. Tickets also can be purchased Saturday on the south side of the stadium, but USF officials recommend buying tickets earlier in the week.
Individuals have the option of printing their tickets. For information, go to www.gousfbulls.comand click on the "Get individual tickets" link or call 1-800-GoBulls.
FAMU's Marching 100 band and USF's Herd of Thunder each will perform at halftime.
Does that include 15000 season tickets?

They need funding. Even when you dontae money and specicify that it goes to the bad, i have been told it doesn't go to them.

hello. i was at FAD, but don't know that it's the kind of event that usually gets much coverage after the fact, except maybe to say weather was great and turnout was strong, etc.
tribune didn't really address it today either, except for the note on the strange JR Reed schedule magnet. both papers had notes from talking to players and coaches at FAD, and ran a few reminders of when and where in the days leading up. i think that's the best way to handle something like that. wish we could have gotten a photo from there though -- between Jon Simmons' puppy, the autograph booths and some of the adorable little kids running around, there was no shortage of fun images ...

This is the best news in a long time. They have been airing ads for football season tickets during the drive to and from work. That cannot be a bad thing.

Bealls in Wesley Chapel had all bulls products a 40-60% last weekend. Boaught a killer "hawaiian style" shirt with the horn logo and shield hidden in the pattern.

I'm so tempted to post something that would get me in trouble. Luckily our leaders are smarter than what happened recently in Miami.

If you do, asked him about that sexual assualt from 20 yrs ago...and how it "disappeared".
KL
Did he assault you? Sorry to hear that.

It's the in thing to do it seems. Build it and they will come.

It could be the angle but Pat sure has a set of pythons.

Next thing will be the cardboard cutouts.

Geez...
When it rains it pours. Please explain?

I bumped into him at a tennis exhibition in South Carolina last July right after he left USF. What a nice guy and he was still representing well in his USF garb. Small world.
-
If you look at his other auctions, he has playbooks for a whole bunch of teams.

I'll say this, I had the opportunity to see the new business building over the weekend and it is an eyecatcher. Never thought I'd say this about anything on our campus. The inside of that building is first class. So if that is the standard, I'm sure we are in for a treat.

An offense so great that a free "offensive coordinator" position at USF comes included for no additional cost.

I agree the times coverage has stepped up. Unless there is something I am missing here let us not be petty too. Brett has been kind to us over the years when he had many opportunities to really rip us. He also has been fair when writing negative stuff that should be reported, but in places like gainesville and tally get swept under the rug. He's no homer, but he is also appears to be a fan. Nothing wrong with that. In fact, it was the Times we should be cautious about. They haven't been so kind to us over the years.
Maybe Greg is being granted some access that other reporters are not due to our affiliation? I don't know.
Either way thanks for the stuff both guys write. Message board fans are a tough crowd.

Well the race was great.  And the track was great.  I just wish the IRL would fold and the real indy cars would return.
-
The empty keg was okay to watch bands in, but it served nasty pizza, hotdogs and beer. Thats it! They should put in a real sports pub kind of place with a decent menu and beer choices.

Anyone going to the race? Open wheel racing is pretty exciting. I think the best american technology is still in the champ/cart series though. But if this becomes the Long Beach if the east, could be interesting. The scenery is definately on track.
