Those are completely reasonable rules.   I wonder if any youngsters cannot help themselves from "going live" during the practice so they have to remind them to refrain from doing it.  Funny how Boomers and my generation invented all these tech gadgets and internet applications, and now we are scratching our heads wondering why we did it.  Our kids and grandkids are addicted to all that nonsense.

Anyone wearing gear of any other college program should be immediately escorted out of there and banned for life.  😆

Yeah, I remember when my soon-to-be bride left her position at USF and one of her possible opportunities was at Arkansas.  I told her simply:

"Darling, I love you and I would follow you a lot of places.  Arkansas is not one of them."

We didn't pursue that any further.

Especially since those backwoods are full of crazy mountain men, banjos and dudes who cannot dance.

Pretty much just wanted to let people have a few days to revel in USF’s historic season before having to worry about any player turnover drama.

As someone with no connection to USF it seemed kinda rude to come on here directly after the VCU loss to hash all this out.

So, do you have some extended automotive warrantees to sell as well?  Maybe a Nigerian prince trying to send us money?

  4. I prefer the old bowl game system vs each successive garbage idea that has come out.  It was simple - all games were played by the end of New Year's Day, and the pollsters picked a winner.

Today they pretend that they have a playoff, but the pollsters still pick who is in it.   So, you still get clowns like Nick Saban whining to the press that it would be a tragedy to leave out the SEC, even though there was another P5 undefeated team that won its conference championship game.   The playoff selection committee turns it into a popularity contest and puts Alabama over FSU.   The entitled FSU starters decide that defending their school's honor is not as important as getting selected in the 7th round of the NFL draft and subsequently getting cut in training camp, so they sit out the Orange Bowl, thus making it the Sour Grapes Bowl.   FSU gets destroyed, thus proving the playoff committee's point.
FSU gets the Eric Cartman "screw you guys, I'm going home award" for their pathetic narcissism.

It was poetic justice that Alabama lost on an embarrassing play in OT where the QB tripped over his own lineman.   Miami Dolphins fans cheered "Thanks for Tua Tagovailoa, but we are still pissed at how you left the team high and dry after abandoning the Dolphins to coach Alabama."

It must have been fun to be a fly on the wall at the Ponder house during bowl season.   Christian Ponder's FSU team got humiliated, but Samantha Ponder could only gloat for a short time since her Liberty team got destroyed as well, proving that the Sun Belt does not even belong in the G5.

  5. I could have memory issues as I get older, but I swear I remember that few of the smaller Big East schools had high school level gyms that they used for some of their less popular games.  Sure they played at places like MSG for the big games, but for games against smaller schools?   Good old practice gym for those games.

  6. They turned the Orange Bowl into the Sour Grapes Bowl.

Want to prove the playoff committee wrong?   Go out and kick Georgia's ass.   Nope.   They laid down and surrendered before the game even started.   Pathetic play like that is not going to get them an invite into the SEC, no matter how much money they waste suing the ACC.

Also - that means I'll be on my best behavior tonight, as Solomon gets the friends and family treatment out of me. (I've had a few coaches argue with me, best being Hurley who spent way too much time worry about me and not about the game)

I remember we used to give the late Denny Crum some serious grief back in the 90's when Louisville played at USF.    I remember reading quote from him that he used to hate playing at USF because the fans were so loud.  We never cursed at him, we just yelled at him to sit down every time he stood up.   We made a point to get seats behind the visiting bench to do that.   I guess we "ruined" it for future students because now those seats are reserved for the elite crowd.   😂

Was waiting for someone to say this. I thought it while watching the replay.

Not much of a "tournament" when you play one game.

That is how they set up the tournament.   I think they were expecting that USF would be a scrub team for FSU to beat, but we went down there and kicked some butts.

IT is all down to the B1g and SEC now. If the b12 grabs the best of the ACC they could form a power3. I would think the SEC would just want FSU, Clemson, and maybe UNC . The b1g would be smart to take any acc teams at this point because they lack the top to bottom power of the SEC.

Top to bottom power of the SEC?   Why do people keep repeating that false narrative?   There are plenty of bottom feeders in the SEC that could not even compete in the American, let alone CUSA or the Sun Belt.

The SEC has these perennial "powerhouses", I mean loser schools that are just taking the money and running with it.   Sure, they will squeak out a nice win every now and then, but they are not competitive in the SEC, and they rarely play top teams from the G5 because the SEC knows the G5 schools will expose the soft underbelly of the SEC.
