Larry Blurred was another nickname I saw for the kid, albeit a less flattering one Great college basketball story, nonetheless.

Only two going to postseason are Tchewa, the NIT with UGA, Conwell on the bubble with Indiana State ...
I didn’t know Conwell is now at Indiana State playing with Cream Abdul-Jabar?

All of the stupid referee reviews that take place throughout the game are much more of a problem, IMO.
Agree with this. Fouling to slow the game down is not new. Sucks for the fan experience but it’s good strategy to stay in the game. Reviewing every single effing call is new and has dragged the game out. Add a fourth ref and some of the reviewing may not be needed.

Mediocre P5 teams getting in the NCAAT has nothing to do with quality basketball, but the higher number eyeballs those teams will supposedly garner for ad revenue. That’s it.

CAAR has great passion and heart for his squad, the program, and university. We haven’t this kind of leadership in the men’s athletic programs since the CJL days. What a breath of fresh air!

Disappointing, but excited about our prospects next year. Hopefully most players come back, and we are able to add a few pieces to get even better.
Our NCAAT birth was lost early season during our OOC schedule. Hopefully next year we can have a better start with a stronger OOC schedule. Winning these end of season tournaments are never easy, that is why they call it March Madness. Hopefully we can have a tournament lock next year before the AAC tournament
but yes this one stings.
Need another big (with basketball skills, not just a big body) to compliment Pryor and Walker.

Crap foul calls, bad turnovers, and poor interior defense and rebounding cost us the game. Unfortunate result for a squad that could’ve done better.

I think he gets looks but no offers. By missing the NCAAT, he hasn’t proven anything with weight beyond the confines of Fowler Ave.

What a memorable season. Can’t wait to see what we do next year.

These commentators are insufferable.

Turnovers, missed FTs… Need to be better than this.

You can tell the lads are hungry. There is blood in the water. Time to make these country-arsed Pirates walk the plank.

Can we hold on the self-flagellation until after we lose?

Work to do
South Florida Bulls
For now, it's safe to say South Florida's drive for an at-large bid peaked on the morning of the regular season's finale on Saturday. At that point, the Bulls owned the nation's longest active win streak. Then the streak ended, and the drive for the bid at least paused, as USF lost 76-70 at Tulsa. Who knows, perhaps there will be another peak in the at-large candidacy. If so, however, it will have to be reached by means of defeating an opponent other than Florida Atlantic at the American tournament. South Florida and the Owls are the top two seeds in the bracket. (updated March 9)Gotta love March Madness. Let’s see how the cookie crumbles

Give Coach a huge raise and extend his contract today. Lets keep him in Tampa, if you don't think some big time programs are going to come after him within the next Month you are kidding yourself.
If we miss the NCAAT, I think we’ll be fine. Not sure he’ll have the right kind of suitors without a solid run. No harm in extending either way, in my opinion. He is a program building leader and he earned it.

No crap the goal is to win the tourney. I believe in sports winning is always the goal but I could be wrong.
People are genuinely curious about whether or not the team can still make the NCAAT if they don’t win the AAC tourney. The likelihood is probably 10% but this is part of the fun of March Madness.

Win a Q1 game in the tournament, lose a close one in the finals to a Q1 team.
Plus, all conference leaders win their tournaments, so the AQ is an expected AQ and the conference leader does not get put into at large discussion.
If I’m reading the Quad definitions correctly, Memphis (NET 69) would be Quad 2 (51-100 on a neutral court). FAU or SMU are the only Quad 1 wins to bag.
