Great break down on the squad. Agree that progress will be defined by beating teams with winning records. Talk of the CFP is silly. Yes, aim high but let’s be realistic. I don’t see the defense and O-Line making the jump required to contend for the CFP.

This program needs to just focus on winning football games and staying relevant.

Very insightful interview into CAAG’s experience and mindset.
Has Will Weatherford single-handily revitalized the football program? We haven’t seen this kind of focus on football from leadership since the Leeroy Selton days. And CAAG mentioning President Law texting every week about what he needs is a totally different vibe.

RB room has been lackluster since my boy, the Junkyard dawg. Not holding my breath in 2024.

Rest in peace, Mr. Ford. He was a beast on the field. Big loss for Bulls Nation.

Is your name a reference to arrested development? If so well played.

RB room definitely needs to take a step forward. Wright was solid last year, but not game breaking. Joiner hasn't shown enough to be that guy because he can't stay on the field. Powell like joiner can't catch a break. Ideally like to see someone else besides the qb have the most carries and yards.
100% agree. RB and DB/Safety positions need the biggest gains for the program to make significant progress.

Good one. Do you remember lsat years depth chart?
RB Wright or Joiner or Dukes
I think it had alot to do with Golesh trying to hide the depth chart a little or figure out what he had over the first few games until he found his guys.
Probably more of the latter. Guessing he has his guys already.

That high energy style of play and those pick pocket steals on the perimeter sure do remind me of a certain guard who went under the radar in high school and excelled under CAAR in his first year… Good pick up.

That’d be a good sign of an improved defense if the Logan saw the writing on the wall and voluntarily left or was told to leave. Still a bit of head scratcher for me.

Smooth set shot and good off ball movement on the wing. Solid pick up.

Follow the money. Starters leaving only makes sense when payouts from Collectives are involved.

And that is difference between other people and me. I don't care what others want or do. I do my own evaluation, as CAAR suggests coaches do.
Pancho knows ball. Get on the Pancho train, blud.

The "one-and-done" mentality has trickled over into the new NIL/portal universe. What was once reality for only some of the elite programs now is true for everyone. To paraphrase Jerry, we will have to root for whoever dons the slime.

The player would need to be in the portal in order for schools to make contact with the player.
I think his comment has to do more with CY and Miguel. I am guessing CY wanted to play at Alabama (closer to home) and they ignored him. I am also guessing that Miguel wanted to play at Maryland since his older cousin played there. And they probably ignored him as well.
Backchanneling is how this stuff is done. Coaches may not reach out but someone’s old AAU coach knows something he wants to share…
interesting angle on P5 programs misjudging CY and Selton. Who knows. CAAR followed up in a post with Jayden telling everyone to relax. Dude knows how to get clicks.

Thats what I thought. No portal entry though.
I think that is what CAAR is calling out. Coaches are actively poaching players who are not in the portal. I’m guessing Youngblood had no intention on transferring out but Alabama’s coaching staff bent his ear and suddenly he went into the portal…

Sounds like someone might be after Jayden Reid?
Seems like it.

My guess is Jayden is getting courted by P5 programs. This ish is exhausting.

Where are they putting the Judy Genshaft statue?

Sad we won’t see any sideline face checks next season

We already have two that you have not seen play yet in Brown and Jennings. Like I said, I feel better with Reynolds, Jennings, and Brown than I did with CY, Pryor, and Miguel.
What’s your take on Jennings? I don’t know much about his game. Saw he only averaged 6 pts at his last year at KSU.
