I agree with you. But his hire, CAG, has taken over an 1-11 team and is currently at 3 wins with 5 games to go. We're 3-4 after today with the potential still existing to be 8-4...Does the team look good today? No, they don't but MK will sure look like a prophet if today is the last loss of the season and we'll all feel like we're apart a turnaround season if we flip a switch after today. We just don't know. 1st year coaches after an 1-11 season, not even mentioning all the previous bad seasons, would be expected to have a rough go of it through year 1. He needs to build his team, that doesn't always happen immediately. Struggling through year 1 doesn't mean VPMK made a boneheaded choice.

When you are at the top of an organization and every major component of that organization is failing as you lose market share for the greater part of a decade, yes it absolutely is your fault that everything below you (that matters to anyone) is failing miserably and is worse since you got here.
Some people just don't get it

That's a very mature comment you just made. Thank you for taking the time to reply.

So it's MK's fault for hiring a couple of very capable SEC/ACC offensive coordinators who interviewed well with a lot of coaching experience to coach a team with no recent history of having any success on the field? The only things MK has to go on when gauging the potential of a potential future HC is their interview ability, their history as a coach, and comments from those who recommend them. So you're saying it's not the players' fault for not being better football players because I don't see Michael Kelly anywhere on the field right now? It's not the coaches' fault for not conveying the information better and doing the correct things in practice? Instead, it's one administrator's fault for hiring a guy who checked enough boxes? There are far too many people on this forum who think formidable head coaches with proven success on the FBS level would want to come into this dumpster fire for relatively little money. USF isn't the best company out there hiring, they just need someone to fill the role and maybe overachieve to make the company look more appetizing for hiring someone of a higher quality next go around. Stop passing blame to the scapegoat MK because he is MOST DEFINITELY not the only one involved in the hiring process. The BOT, largest donors, and many others are involved.
I don't know what you just said but you're delusional

Yep, fire up the CAG v Herman thread.

Looks like they've had trouble finding the end zone, so they will probably win.

I just glad people are arguing about analytics instead of who should be fired.

An even better message to send to the Big 12 would be that next time when they add a team it should be us. A game against UCF in a packed stadium where emotions run high, and where we beat them into a pulp wouldn't be the worst thing to send a message to the Big 12 that it would benefit greatly from a UCF-USF rivalry.
We're already seeing better results now that we're separated from them. I think it's a message from a higher power.
