    Didn't he see Weatherford's speech?

Yes :    " Even more disturbing, Will Weatherford used the indoor practice facility groundbreaking to announce the intent to build an on campus stadium. He did so, it seems pretty clearly, with absolutely no plan and seemingly in the spur of the moment. He did so out of angst and anger. There is no money for an on-campus stadium, there is no real plan, just more dreams."

I certainly understand everyone's pessimism based on our past whenever the OCS was a topic.

There is going to be a realistic plan for the OCS. I can't tell you exactly when that will roll out, but it will be rolled out, so that those interested in helping with that project can do so.

I've been here a long while and I don't think I have ever heard the Board of Trustees Chairperson ever talk about an OCS the way it is being discussed now.

I'm 69 years young and hope I'm around when our Bulls play in their own stadium in a conference that has a REAL chance for a national championship .

All Bull fans should read this fan's above post. UCF supporter here checking in to provide some perspective. Patience! UCF faced this same scenario in 2003 and look where we are now. The footprint has been set! Get better, recruit better, move up the AAC ranks. You don't have to go through UCF or UC anymore. USF can compete and beat Memphis and SMU and it can happen fast. The path is easier to be top dog in G5! ESPN and the national press love the underdog, just look @ the press the UCFs, UCs, BYUs and now Coastal Carolina gets. It's not far fetched you could be knocking on the CFP door as there will be access for a G5 team. Heck it could be easier for USF than UCF! But, I live in Tampa and success starts @ the top and USF has to do better with marketing and leadership. Build a culture, find a way to get butts in the seats. The program needs to create a niche and separate themselves from the Bucs. Image is everything. Really, an on campus stadium changes everything. Your donors need to step up, pull some strings in Tallahassee. You guys laugh @ UCF's cheap stadium, but guess what it may not be fancy but it moved the needle for the program back 2007. Cut some corners, if the right people work the systems you can generate $150 million and build a nice stadium. UAB just opened a nice one for around that price. Right now there's only one way to go for USF and that's up!

If I remember correctly you all did some cheating also .

  4.  I think Fortin needs to start practicing holding a clipboard! Start Williams to see if he has got what it takes with McClain as backup and special plays but not exceed 4 games . Marsh????   Fortin was so disappointing , Sickening, embarrassing ....and on and on .

Ok, I know that I am being a Debbie Downer here but our first game will be a week away this week and I am feeling almost zero excitement. Perhaps this is a combination of the past terrible few seasons, the crap we have had to go through with COVID, being left behind again in realignment,  college football changing into something I don’t like, or just getting older and looking at things differently. In the past, I would be busting with excitement at this point. Is anyone else feeling this way?

If we start with the most likely 1-3 record  I hope my heart will still be in it to watch at all. Maybe as the season continues and we get on a small winning streak I’ll feel differently…or maybe when I attend a few home games this year I feel better about it all,  but this overall feeing really sucks right now. I love my alma mater but I am just not feeling it for college football.

Maybe you take two tablespoons full of castor oil followed with a large glass of prune juice . That will surely remove your negatives : )

  6. "Williams has caught up and, if nothing else, slimmed down. He entered USF at 240 pounds but is down to 210 — close to his playing weight at Miami (215)."

Hey if Williams doesn't cut it as QB next year (if Tim McClain   takes the reigns) he can get his weight back up to 240 lbs then maybe  play defense as linebacker  or end rather than sit on the bench or transfer?  Just a thought...

With so many unknowns about this team and the likelihood of massive fluidity in the first quarter of the season, I thought it would be interesting to let everyone give their predictions for how the season will play out at each position. Let's start with the QBs:

Cade Fortin - Junior Transfer (UNC - Played sparingly last year due to injury)
Jarren Williams - Sophomore Transfer (The U, took a year off at a Juco due to Covid)
Katravis Marsh - Sophomore (Saw some uninspiring action last season)
Timmy McClain - Freshman (Lefty High School star that led his team to  an undefeated record and the state title game)
Ridge Jacobs - Freshman (Unheralded, but led his HS team to its first two playoff victories in school history)

    1. Who will be the week 1 starter? Fortin
    2. Who will be the week 1 backup? Williams
    3. Who will be the starter for the first AAC Game (Oct. 2nd @    SMU)?   Fortin
    4. Which QB will end up with the most passing yards on the season? Fortin
    5. Which QB will end up with the most passing TDs on the season? Fortin
    6. Which QB will end up with the most rushing TDs on the season? Williams
    7. Who will be the starter against UCF? Fortin
