  1. Put me on Team Higgins...we need qualified individual that has a passion for USF and unfortunately that is a short list. Hopefully he wants the gig.

Don’t want to see us hire another “guy” that is looking for his next job as soon as he gets his office set up here like Harlan did.

Fundraising is critical and #55 would sure help in that arena....but there is so much more to the job than that and DB just does not have that administrative backgrond. Lee Roy did.

That's also not a fair comparison. A QB is naturally capable of completely losing the game if he's inept. A DE will not. I could play DE and we'd still have won a bunch of games last year. We'd win zero if I played QB. Likewise, Jerry Rice and Barry Sanders wouldn't have broken 37 records here... Simply because they couldn't. You'd be delusional to say they're not better players, though.

Q has had the most statistical impact of any player in our history. I don't care to debate that. I'm suggesting his stats, and the competition he played against, don't tell the whole story.

I dunno about that...you can probably hand-off for a dive into the line just as well as anyone

You're probably correct NE.  However, it has to cost more based on cost of the OCS.  If it's 40K seats and you take out the 12K student section that leaves 28K.  Take out another 5K for alumni, staff, band, visiting teams, donated seats, etc and that leaves 23K.  Another 10K for "high rollers", "corporate" and "suites" and now you're down to 13K seats or so for the average fan.

I'm sure my numbers can move either way for sake of the argument.  My hope would be the student section would be expanded by 3K to 15K total.

I would bet a very small portion of seats would sell for "cheap".  I'm cool with this model.  I just hope those wanting an OCS have the jingles to get in.

Exactly how empty do you want our student section to look?

  4. JK just released an article about the attendance at the spring game...

The fact that JK omitted the obvious issue...it was head to head with a Lightning playoff game shows that there was some bias intended. I admit that was the reason that I did not go to the spring game. I am one of the few that would prefer that the game was at Ray Jay as opposed to Corbett also. Would not have mattered for me this year....but I was planning to go until the Lightning schedule was updated.

  5. Sadly, he is spot on. The P6 designation is bush league and the way UCF has reacted to beating a disinterested Auburn team has been an embarrassment to the AAC. I do think it hurts our combined effort to join a larger conference.

That being said...the AD from NIU is the wrong messenger

I love how Subway gets a bad rap.  Obviously, Publix subs are top dog, but there is literally nothing wrong with a good Subway sub.

Probably the same people that bash McDonalds but still eat at Burger King.

IMO there is no such thing as a good Subway sub....anytime I have to go in there due to my SO enjoying their crappy food....it seems like the place smells like feet. Just too many bad competing smells.
