Seems we heard a fair amount of these sentiments last year... and how did that work out in February?

You should look into this some more. At this date last year, we had commitments from 4 high quality recruits. This time around, we have just one from a player (who may end up being good) with no known P5 offers. Perhaps we are focusing more on the upcoming season and being more selective? This is a gamble that may end up leading to a bunch of bottom-of-the-barrel players.

So this guy says Memphis should be added because they're geographically close to B12, they have a respectable bball team, and they can hang 56 points in a half on the worst team in the league. UCiF should be added because "they're on the rise", in spite of a dramatic fall after the Bortles years. And USF should be added because they were #2 over 7 years ago and are UCiF's rival. Got it...

I like the conclusion by the way, I just don't like the lackluster rationale.

I thought ucif won the conference title the year after Bortles left?

Another tweet about how EVERY expansion candidate city (another tweet had Salt Lake media there) in the country has some type of reporter there EXCEPT Tampa

Big 12 hasn’t expanded yet, but media corps covering it has. Reporters from Memphis, Cincinnati, Houston, Orlando covering Big 12 meetings

But yes, I am so wrong for pointing this little fact out.

It all seems to boil down to supply and demand. If the local interest doesn't seem to warrant sending a representative to the meetings then there's your answer. And why couldn't Judy and/or Harlan stop by for this? It would show we are dedicated to meeting face to face in front of everyone.

The options are important to consider. The SEC and PAC and Big 10  are going to stretch the revenue gap a good bit each of the next 5 years. The ACC network partner who owns the right to the network, has shelved it. Thus, the ACC in my mind, once they see the SEC jump forward in $$$$, will be as wiggly as the Big 12, especially since most of the revenue/TV ratings are being driven by one school...FSU.

Many more blocks to tumble and be partially reassembled in my opinion.

I would add Clemson with FSU.

You do understand we're talking about Spring Game attendance numbers, right? Fudging regular season numbers a time honored college football tradition but Spring Game numbers .......  ?? This is not helping the rapidly growing suspicion that you're part of the Kanigit sleeper cell.

You are so annoyingly crotchety. It's no wonder the site activity on this board has been going downhill over the past 5 years. Grow up old man. Someone saying "crap like this" is a vague statement. We shouldn't throw rocks at anyone fibbing about their attendance numbers. We've been called out on it numerous times. Don't try to pretend.

Yet you remain.  Triple B can't you do anything right?

Very rarely do I "drop by". It's become apparent that we are seeing less and less people frequent here since the crotchety MOD likes to constantly bicker with people on minor niche opinions.

A suggestion .... Maybe next time instead of just dumping the link, make some comments to try and steer the discussion in a direction that would be more suitable for you .... We're in full offseason mode and without guidance, you see the results.

Your usefulness as a great USF fan repellant for this board is one of your strengths. No wonder the traffic around here over the years has been going down.

Essentially, yes, because I believe in 1) speaking truth and 2) not spending extra effort matching wits with someone I deem unworthy.  Work smarter, not harder.

You don't sound like anything you are saying. 1) I speak the truth and you can't handle the truth and 2) you have to resort to labels since you can't back it up. As a bonus note, you have been here for nearly 7 years and only know 2 people? One is probably this account and the other your alt account. Nice try troll. Your pic says it all.

Nowhere have I said anything you've said is wrong.  Just that you are a troll.  Only difference is I've met two people that regularly post on this site that can vouch for the fact I'm a Bulls alumnus/fan, and there is no questioning of my allegiances in my posts, unlike yours.

    Keep on keeping on, troll!

    i+see+you+for+what+you+are.gif

So essentially you are just labeling people with no substance because labels are easy. Lame. If you can't win with wits, get out a label...

The fans are just fine. We ended the conference schedule on a 4-win tear against two mediocre teams on the road, and against two good teams at home. That's something we couldn't do even in our "glory" years. Hardly dismal, you're bordering a rename to UCF_Trollwinkle.

No. The fan base is not fine. That's my point. We've become complacent in thinking everything is ok. We even had a write up about fudging the attendance numbers more than anyone else.

All you have to do is go to his profile and look at his last few posts.  Anything that remotely comes close to a positive statement about the Bulls follows with a criticism.  The things he's "concerned" about regarding the program are, in large part, things that UCF fans rag us about, i.e. traveling fan numbers, getting beaten in a bowl.  Hell, look no further than this statement:

The lower bowl won't be sold out. Most of the lower sections have been about 1/3 filled at most in recent years. We need to charge on right out of the gate and make a statement.

I'm speaking the truth. please prove where I was wrong. The charge on thing is a stretch and kind of creepy. Plus your profile is a picture of a troll. lol

Lol I'm pretty sure Trip was probably around before I was born and might have graduated before I was out of diapers :lmao:

At any rate I have followed USF since 2000, been to the big games, and I am happy with the progress under CWT. This coming year will tell us a lot about him as a head coach IMO. Go Bulls!

Maybe. He does sound crotchety in his replies. But I doubt he's been supporting the team for very long.
