  1. Looks like they moved to the new place but no info on the new donor system yet that I could find ....

One good thing that I think happens with the new system (if that seating chart posted here was accurate), 100% of your Bulls Club donation not tied to the tickets will be tax exempt .... as opposed to the 80% of the total donation if you bought sports tickets in areas that required a donation.

It will still be 80% since the additional funds would be going to a giving level where you are receiving extra benefits.

  2.

I think this cuts several ways.

Based on the deal we inked back in '97, my seats were in the $1K/GJ section, however, having been a ground-floor sort of guy, I was grandfathered in @ $100. I've gotten pretty fair mileage out of that thus far. As for 'priority points' and such, I never found myself wanting for tickets, so part of that may just be demand. I dunno. I do know, however, that even at the Bullseye level, I was pretty surprised at where I was on the points totem pole...just sayin'.

Now that USF is restructuring the donor~ticket relationship, and we have to make decisions about whether we move forward with this, there are some things to consider. To begin with, the cost of my four season tickets will escalate from an expense of approximately $850 per season to $1,600 per season...nearly doubling, due mostly to a six-fold increase in donor fees. So, if there is an expectation of continuing to purchase tickets in light of the past four years performance (I'm obviously not as altruistic as some) , CA makes the decision more palatable. For us - and there are more than a few in at the OG rate - CA is a selling point.

Wooly, are you sure about that $850 figure? I'm in a lower than GJ level section and my season tix by themselves were $250/ea last year. Grandfathering didn't cover the actual ticket prices, did it? That should have put you at a minimum of $1100, compared to the $1600 this year.

Here's my math, for four season ticket seats in section 234....

Ah, that was it. Forgot under previous plan, the East side tix were cheaper ... Good luck with your Household Board of Directors. You can also try to sell a move to the shady West side if seats available.

Section 234 had a renewal price last season of $270 per seat. 4 seats there last season would have totaled $1,080 before factoring in the annual gift.

  3.

    Hmmm... Where's the faculty/staff section?

I'm thinking maybe the not yet announced alumni discounting may include faculty/staff .... just a guess, though.

There will be a faculty/staff discount along with the alumni discount.

This will now give all faculty/staff members a much better opportunity to relocate/add to different seating opportunities.

  4. Bull Martin,

You are able to log into you account online and when you click on the "manage this event" tab it will give you the option to donate the tickets. You should be able to do this in the summer once the tickets show up within your account. Thank you for your support.

    DELdaBull,

Season tickets are discounted for renewing account members and the discount is good up until February 5.

  5. Had a great time,  Weather was beautiful,  the row I sit in was completely empty accept for the seats that I have , so a good friend of mine visiting from Louisville was able to walk up to the ticket window the day of the game ask for John L , tell him he wanted to sit next to us and was able to purchase the ticket, ( a luxury having few fans attend games, allows for you to buy the seat around you for friends and family),  the game was played early enough to allow us to get home to see the rest of the days games.   Got a chance to see if White is our QB of the future or not.( playing in his first game as a bull).  Was the last time to see us Play Ville( ending a good series, unfort Ville now holds the tie breaker 6 to 5).  It was a chance to see a Heisman trophy candidate.  A chance to see a bud of mine nephew play for Ville in person.

All in all it was a great day.

    Go Bulls.

I'm glad I was able to assist. I felt bad that it took a few minutes to print his ticket, but he was a pleasure to talk to.
