hopkins has world class speed though. short won't matter if he's so far behind the defense they can't get their arms up (assuming the QB gets the throw accurate). i saw him in the spring game two years ago - always thought he would be a more dangerous lamar if he came around.

Rivals (i know, not the most reliable) only had him running a 4.5 in highschool. Thats fast but not world class speed. Has he been doing track as well or anything?

He's been a star for USF track.

Hopkins and Lamar both have LEGITIMATE 4.3 speed, based on HS and College track results.

But can he run routes or, more importantly, catch the ball? I'm sure the answer is yes, but I'm wondering why he's barely seen the field the last couple years but is a starter in week one over a senior in Victor Marc, or a more proven commodity in Welch?
