The one that kills me is the 4th & 7, which they easily converted and demoralized our D in the process. They even had a chance to think it over during the timeout, but were like "nah, if we can do 4th & 24, 4th & 7 is a breeze." And they were right.

Think back on USF history. 3rd and long has ALWAYS been trouble for us.

You’re right.  It is part of our identity.

It's the natural order of USF's defense.  Hold the first two downs which then sets up a big play for the opponent on 3rd or 4th down.

But every year and every coach? It's just odd.

We're a freak of nature...more bad mojo than any coaching staff can overcome.  So it would seem.

I wouldn’t call that easily converted. It wasn’t like the Red Sea parting. King did his best Q impression of the day on that play ..... one of the pivotal ones in the game.

Pass rush non existent. Defensive ends are not quick but we did play contain and still lost and he ran anyways. We have lacked an explosive pass rusher for a long time

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
