McCants block

I hope this play is indicative of how they will play the rest of the season. McCants, after blocking one guy, sees Johnson breaking it outside, turns around to help and completely annihilates Andre Chachere at the 20 breaking Johnson for the touchdown. (Start at 14:02)

I've seen the replay a number of times. and it seems to me that if he hadn't been flat out hustling at 100% he never could have made that play.  He hit that second guy just as the guy was bringing him arms down to DJ.  A split second later, DJ probably loses balance and ends up out of bounds.  But McCants, not even knowing he'd have that play, was in the right place at the right time because of his effort!

That's my play of the game.

That play has been all over twitter and social media. McCants flat out hustles to make the second block.

Also, very smart play. He doesn't make a beeline for the defender and make a block in the back. He runs ahead and loops into him so he's at the side or just in front. Beautiful.

Also, McCants blew up a DT for Memphis last year too. Guy does not mind mixing it up.

McCants might be the best blocking WR in college football. He is always downfield hunting.

I was just wishing we could clone him and DJ.  2 really good ball players.  At 235 tyre can still move as well.

Agree . . . wish I could be in the film room when they show that play.

Also need to show that clip to the team to remind them - hit somebody and then look for somebody else to hit UNTIL you hear the whistle!
